Dear Anju,
As per old companies act may companies who fulfilled the requirement given by the companies act and central govt. are mandatory to get cost audit by the cost accountant just like statutory audit. so in this case cma are required. however in the new companies act also some companies who fulfilled the condition notify the central govt are required to maintain cost record and audited by the cost accountant, however till the govt not notify any company to comply with such section.
however all the companies are maintained cost record in the company so they can appoint CMA. i near future cma has no bright future in india.
