In articleship training you work riguorously under an employer and work as article assistant. He/She is also called as auditor and audit different corporate bodies like companies etc. One audits the work of the auditee,
Whereas, in case of industrial training, one joins as industrial trainee in any of the companies approved by the institute, prepares all the details and get the work audited by the auditors.

Hello,
Every student pursuing CA need to undergo some training. It is known as Articleship. Articleship is to be done under an Practicing CA or CA Firm whose partners are practicing. While under Industrial Training there is no such requirement.
Articleship can be done for full 3 years or 2 years & then go for Industrial Training. You can go for industrial training only in the 3rd year of articleship before that not. Industrial training range from 9 to 12 months.
Under Industrial training you need to see that your Principal allow you & also need to verify that were you are going for indutrial training has a CA who is member otherwise you cannot do training in that company. CA institute has displayed the list of Company who are eligible for the Industrial Training.
In any situation you need to work with Practicing for 2 years minimum

Industrial training period is 9 months to 12 months.
Dear friend,
When you pass at least CA Intermediate | CA IPCC group I, then you have to register and undergo 3 years mandatory article ship training under a CA in practice.
On the other hand, when you complete 2 year of article ship, you have an option to go for Industrial Training with your present CA's consent in any corporate which fulfill the criteria laid down by ICAI. The period of training may range b/w 9 to 12 months, means u have to join IT when at least 9 months of your article ship is left. It is a choice to go for IT. It is not mandatory as article ship.
Hope it would serve you purpose.
