We are glad you are here. The new VAT rate has led to the creation of this site. In the absence of a similar website that allowed users to change the amount of VAT, we created this one so that business users and individuals can easily change the VAT rate and add or subtract VAT from a gross or net amount.

Since the 4th of January 2011, the UK VAT rate has been increased from 17.5% to 20.0%. From 1 December 2008 to 4 January 2009, the standard rate of VAT was reduced to 15%. Since 20th January 2010, the rate was reinstated at 17.5%.
