Hi A draft was released in February 2015 stating the new CA curriculum that would be applicable from 2016. However, the draft released in February 2015 was revised in July 2015. According to the revised draft released of July 2015, **Information Technology and Strategic management has been reintroduced** as a 100 marks paper. Information technology will constitute 60 marks and Strategic management will constitute 40 marks of the paper. So it is quite clear that Information Technology and Strategic management still exist in our course. So even if you are registered in November 2014, you have to give the paper

Hello There...!! As we all know that ICAI has issued a notification on 6th July, 2015 in which it has prescribed that there is going to be change in scheme of Study of Chartered Accountancy course. A new Syllabus 2016 is only for those who will apply under the new amended scheme i.e. Scheme for 2016. Please click on given link for notification: For those who have been registered before this amended scheme they shall have an option which the Institute has made no such notification as-of yet but it had been a practice of Institute of Chartered Accountant of India to give its student to choose from one of two way(s) that is either: Continue the old scheme. Or Opt for new scheme. For which there would be some relaxation for previous student like carrying forward of passed group or papers. **Note: Answer is based on last few changes made by ICAI in its scheme or trends.**

Hello, Initially the ICAI has issued the notification that it has been withdrawing the SM & IT subject from the Syllabus of the CA. But the since in last few days institute has again issued a revised proposed notification which it has announced that SM & IT will be the subject in the CA study but it will carry less weightage as it used to have earlier and the new subject will also be there in the syllabus in the with the remaining marks weightage. Whatever new syllabus has been proposed to be introduced will be mostly applicable from MAY-2016 exam but since institute is not has finally said anything now. We need to wait for some time to know exact what institute want. Keep yourself in touch with the ICAI website and you will get latest updates.
