The Office has a responsibility to provide assurance to Government and to the Australian community that contracted service providers (providers) are meeting their obligations to deliver hearing services to eligible clients under the Australian Government Hearing Services Program (the program).
A risk based approach to compliance and audit activities provides the Office with a helpful and cost-effective way of monitoring contractual compliance. It also empowers providers to self-assess their own procedures and implement improvement activities, where necessary, to ensure program compliance and the provision of high quality service to clients.
The objective of the Officeโs Audit and Compliance Framework (the Framework) is to ensure that providers are meeting program requirements to safeguard client safety and quality outcomes for clients. This version was last updated in July 2014.
