Hello, To study ITSM, About SM, first give thorough reading of SM from Institutes module at least once. AND make notes by yourself as hand written notes help to recall from a minimum time. For exam Preparation you refer complete Practice Manual And last two attempt Question paper. For IT, As you can Approach Module as your first preference but if find it difficult to understand technical language. You can take help of Dinesh Madan Sir Book also. Proirities your readings, IT- chapter -3,4,5. and Sm- ch-3,4,5,6,7 Happy reading and best of luck.

1. Prepare your study plan in such a manner that you at least read the complete modules ONCE. Module at the outset is a book which will not be touched even with left hand. I understand that there is some kind of mind block with the modules. But for ITSM, this book is "Bible". Even Padhukais also prepared out of this material with past questions and answers... 2. Concentrate on Practice Manual. At least 45-50 marks questions are asked from practice manual. This is important during the last month studies and is a definite score booster. Tips for Information Technology: 1. Start with easy chapters like Data Storage, Retrieval and DBMS. These topics have good weightage too. 2. Secondly, complete Flow Chart and Decision Table. In case, both the questions are asked, then each question will carry around 4/5 marks; otherwise, if any one question is asked then the weightage will be around 8/10 marks. Though, prima facie, they appear to be difficult, with practice you will find them much simpler and scoring.

Hi Friends, So far as your query is concerned with the regard to the methodology to be followed and How to study for ITSM? Which books to refer? Kindly let me tell all of you, first read ITSM only from ICAI Study material, Pratice Manual, RTP, Mock Test Papers. Please do not follow any other reference book for the portion covered by the ICAI study material, Pratice Manual, RTP, Mock Test Papers. So far as your query is how to study ITSM - I would suggest just mug up study material, Pratice Manual, RTP, Mock Test Papers. No other option is left out with the students. Its not that other reference books are not good. Dinesh Madan for example is really very good. Even i studied from them including book by Dinesh Madan for ISCA in CA Final Paper. However, while going through the feed back of the students and opinions and my past experiences, In my view, they just look for the headings as stated in the ICAI study material, Pratice Manual, RTP, Mock Test Papers in case of ITSM answer sheets. Thanks & Regards

Hiiiii friend,...... ITSM is a loophole for Students. ITSM is a subject where many students get stuck to clear their group 2 exams. IT & SM both are relatively different subjects and in exam you need to recollect these both subjects at same time to clear it. First of all never neglect theory part because these are wholly based on theory and theory is the base to recollect any answer in the exam. You need to focus on question and understand it in a better manner and if you dont know the answer skip for that particular period later you attend that question. IT subject must be learnt in good manner and when you study make a habit of taking notes of important topics which helps you in last minute revision. IT must be focused on its language of technology so you must not use normal language and never do selective study read all the topics. In SM you must understand the topics in your language and make note of important chapters. SM is easy and you can score here but need to study all theory correctly and must be conceptual. And do not write any answer which you dont know, these answers may make wrong impression on paper evaluater. And at the last moment please check that all answers are answered correctly in proper way. Never think of answer you dont know think and complete what you know first. For ITSM you need to follow the Study material and Practice manual these are only books which can get you success, the many books you read the many confusion arise in the mind. And at the time of exams do study suggested answers and RTP. All the Best for the exams. Regards,

Hie Eshaan, Simply refer only Practice Manual & RTP. For IT & SM to refer any other book is useless. Firstly, clear your basic concepts from module and then properly study from PM and in the last study from RTP. Also do questions from Mock Test Papers as they are very useful. Start study with SM first then do IT. This much is more than enough just study properly from it. Study Well ....!!!

Some handy tips on how to prepare and clear Paper – 7 Information Technology and Strategic Management (ITSM) since lots of students get stuck and fail in this subject. General Tips: 1. 3. Thirdly, switch to Internet & Other technologies. The units under this chapter are easy to apprehend. 4. After you are done with above, focuson Software and Computer Network & Network Security. Since these chapters are very heavy, you can decide to do selective repeat questions from scanner, suggested answers, etc. Please note that ICAI has omitted certain syllabus from this section and therefore Software Chapter has assumed more weight. 5. And finally, before the paper, concentrate on Definitions. This simple question will give you the important first 10 marks of the papers and will build your confidence for the remaining part of the paper. Tips for Strategic Management: 1. Start with Practice Manual first before you begin the module. This should cover your 60%-70% of the syllabus. Focus on repeat questions. 2. Thereafter begin reading module. Start in reverse sequence i.e. last chapter first and so on. 3. Do all the questions appearing at the end of the chapter since many a times True or False comes out of it only. 4. Sometimes, Fill in the Blanks are asked. Quotations given at the beginning of each chapter will help you attempt them easily.
