A taxpayer whose turnover is below Rs 1.0 crore can opt for Composition Scheme. In case of North-Eastern states and Himachal Pradesh, the limit is now Rs 75 lakh.

Turnover of all businesses registered with the same PAN should be taken into consideration to calculate turnover.

As per 28th GST council meeting held on 21st July, 2018, the threshold limit of composition scheme taxpayers from 1 crore to 1.5 crores. Taxpayers or people whose annual turnover less than or below Rs 1.5 crore in a financial year. Turnover for special category States, except Jammu & Kashmir and Uttarakhand, the limit is now increased to Rs 75 Lacs. While the turnover threshold for Jammu & Kashmir and Uttarakhand will be Rs 1 crore must register under the GST composition scheme.
