On successful completion of the following 3 stages, a person would be awarded the ATC degree: For geting ATC you should have registered as CA Intermediate | CA IPCC & ATC at the time of ur ipcc registeration. if not then also you can pay the prescribed fee and apply for that. all it needs is that you should be ipcc 1st group passed and should have completed 1yr of articleship. and as u have already appeared for CA final so that means u have completed both the above things so u can definitely apply for ATC if you wish not to continue with the course. ATC will help you to get good jobs as ca inter. u may refer to my other answered questions wherein i have told about job offers or expected pay scale for a ca inter student. You can add an extra weight to your resume by writing ATC as your qualification. CA inters are preferred in many industries due to their knowledge and working skills. Procedure to apply for ATC is : =============================== 1. Download application form from website www.icai.org . While submitting the filled-in application form, a student has to remit Rs.100 for Prospectus along with registration fee. 2. Following should be submitted along with ATC enrollment form :- Prescribed registration fee in the form of Demand Draft, in favour of the Secretary, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India payable at either New Delhi/ Mumbai/ Chennai/ Kolkata/ Kanpur as the case may be depending upon the place of residence of the Student. Proof of passing the Common Proficiency Test and Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 examination) conducted by an examining body constituted by law in India or an examination recognized by the Central Government as equivalent thereto. Or Proof of passing Chartered Accountants Entrance Examination or Foundation Examination or Professional Education (Examination – I) subject to complying with relevant conditions. Also refer to official announcements of ICAI.
