I am a student registered with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, having completed 2.5 years of articleship and will be appearing for the Final Exams in May 2016. I hold Bachelor Of Commerce from the University of Mumbai (India). I am inclined to register with IIA for pursuing CIA. I would like to know : 1. When I am eligible to appear for exams 2. How and by when do I need to fulfill the work experience criteria 3. Whether my internship experience will count for Professional Work experience criteria 4. Whether I can appear for CIA Exams from Mumbai
Certified Internal Auditor® (CIA®) Eligibility Requirements Candidates in the CIA program agree to accept the conditions of the program, including eligibility requirements, exam confidentiality, Code of Ethics, and Continuing Professional Education (CPE), along with other conditions enacted by The IIA's Professional Certification Board (PCB). Requirements CIA candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements for education, character, work experience, and identification. Before a candidate application can be approved, ALL documentation (proof of education, character reference, and identification) must be received and approved by The IIA’s Certification staff.
