Hello Shamily. There are 2 types of DEMAT ACCOUNT namely: i)BASDA ii)Full-Fledged DEMAT ACCOUNT BASDA stands for BASIC SERVICES DEMAT ACCOUNT. AS the name suggests, BASDA is an account which has only basic services related to trading in stock market. Also u cant have more than one BASDA Account in ur name and also the investment limit is INR 2 Lacs. There is no maintenance charge on such accounts and have minimal trading/broking charges. Full-Fledged DEMAT ACCOUNT: As the name suggests, Full-Fledged DEMAT ACCOUNT are DEMAT ACCOUNTS with complex services required for trading in a stock market and for trading over INR 2 Lacs.
