As far as your question is related with respect to Ca rajesh tayal sir book of indirect tax, I have not gone through the same. Though I have seen some of his videos on youtubes. Though his videos are good, but personally I could not connect to it.
I have cleared my CA finals in May 2011 after 4 attempts. During my study time,I was in great dilemna, which books I should follow to study, what methodology should I follow.
After various thinking and experience, I came to conclusion the best way to study is to read From Bangar and caselaws/amendments as issued by the ICAI.
First, IDT book from Bangar is in Q & ans format. Q&A format books gives you the idea of the expected types of questions and the probable answers with reference to the sections/guidance available etc. It covers all the recent amendments/case laws relevant and applicable for CA Final examinations. It also includes all the caselaws/amendments as issued by the ICAI.
I have stated caselaws/amendments as issued by the ICAI separately as it is available at one place and in exams questions come from this portion aggregating to 20-25 marks or sometimes even more.
