Procedure To Online Registration For Professional Programme : Company Secretary had gained a lot of fame in the recent time and is becoming popular day by day amongst the students as one of the good career option. Many of the students they have been thinking to make a career in the CS field. After CA and CMA, CS is the next choice of career these days. Company Secretary is a professional who looks after the legal matters and disputes of the companies. He is the professional who practice the corporate law. To pursue a CS a student who has completed their 12th or Graduation degree from any of the stream i.e Commerce, Arts or Science except Fine Arts can apply for the CS course. If you are applying for the course after 12th than you have to give a CS Foundation exam. After clearing the Foundation exam you get eligible for the CS Executive exam and after that for the CS Final exam.

If you are applying for the CS course after Graduation than you directly can give the CS Executive exam. A student also needs to under go with the Internship . The duration of the Internship differs on the basis of the stage of your CS course. If you have not cleared CS Executive and go for the internship its duration is of three years and on clearing the CS executive the duration of the internship is of two years and after CS Final course it is of one year. Where as you also need to do the other necessary trainings as prescribed by the ICSI institute. With CS if you also pursue the Law degree i.e LLB than you will have the good career opportunities and most of the companies they ask for the students to have the Law degree also along with the CS qualification.

 Course Identification, Duration and Examination dates

1.Professional Programme

For those students who are pursuing the course through Foundation Programme i.e. after passing Foundation Programme level, this would be the third level course relating to the CS (Company Secretaries – Professional Accounting) Course.

For those students who are taking up the course after their Graduation this is the second level course.

2. Course Duration

The minimum course duration as per the regulations of the institution is

3. CS_PP » 10 months

The course duration is the minimum time that a student has to spend on taking up the course at this level. It is the period starting from, the time the student gets registered, to the time the student completes the course.

4. Examinations – When?

The main/final examinations for the course at this level are conducted twice every year generally on specified dates which do not change except under extraordinary circumstances.

5. June Examination

First Week of June [2^nd to 7^th – 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm]

6. December Examination

Last Week of December [26^th to 2^nd January – 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm]

ICSI Launched New Online Portal for CS Professional Online Registration, Please follow below steps for using ICSI new Online Portal…

Pre Steps (Followed by all Students)

The purpose of this document is to describe steps of how can CS Executive pass students gets registered to Professional course. In order to get registration in professional course, system will allow only if user has passed executive course.

In order to use new software system of ICSI -SMASH, user will have to generate new password for ICSI-SMASH portal.

• Step 1: In order to retrieve password, type www.icsi.edu in any recommended browser (IE 9, Mozilla 38.0 & above, Chrome 39.0), then click on “Online Services”.
• Step 2: Now, click on link “Click here to retrieve password (For Foundation Pass Students/Executive Pass Student)” https://smash.icsi.in/Scripts/GetPassword.aspx for Directly reach at this page
• Step 3: Enter user id. Note: If user had pursued “Foundation Course” from ICSI then user id will be “Foundation Registration Number” else user id will be “Executive Registration Number”. After entering verification code, click on “Submit” button.
• Step 4: Enter all registered detail, and click on “Submit” button
• Step 5: OTP (One time password) will be sent on your registered mobile number and email id. Enter one time password received on registered email id and mobile number.
• Step 6: Create new password while keeping in mind all instructions shown on below screen.

Note: Please enable pop-up window of your browser to view confirmation message, Password format should meet mentioned criteria on screen. e.g Student@123 , Password1!

Now , User will be able to log in with foundation registration number if pursued foundation course from ICSI else Executive registration number will be treated as user name and use password (created as above).

• Step 1: Login at ICSI Smash Portal – https://smash.icsi.in/Scripts/login.aspx
• Step 2: Enter valid user credentials which user was using during executive programme, enter verification code as shown on screen and click on login button
• Step 3: Navigate to link by using Module->Student Services -> Professional Registration request.

• Step 4: Student can view syllabus in which he/she is getting enrolled by clicking on view syllabus link as shown in screen 2. On click of view syllabus screen 3 will get opened

• Step 5: Student will have to select optional subject mandatory as shown in screen 4 & 5.
• Step 6: Student can also opt for CSJ subscription by click on check box against CSJ label
• Step 7: Now click on “Proceed to payment”.
• Step 8: On Successful payment receipt will get generated

Procedure To Online Registration For Professional Programme : DISCONTINUATION OF OFFLINE REGISTRATION AND COMPLETE SWITCHOVER TO ONLINE REGISTRATION June 2017 Exam  As a major step towards imbibing the potential of technology for providing the best services to the students, the Institute has decided to switchover completely to Online Registration System for registrations to Foundation, Executive and Professional Programme with effect from June 2017 Exam . In connection with the above, students applying for admission / registration in Foundation / Executive / Professional Programme may note the followings :

A. OFFLINE REGISTRATION PROCESS FOR CS PROFESSIONAL PROGRAMME :

1. The sale of Registration Application Form (which is forming part of the Prospectus) will stand discontinued effective from June 2017 Exam . The Prospectus will be redesigned and will be continued to be sold to the prospective students and general public. The revised rate of the prospectus will be Rs.200/- which will not contain the Registration Application Form.

2. The Regional Councils & Chapters will not accept the Registration Applications in physical form effective from June 2017 Exam . It is further clarified that the downloaded copies of Registration Forms are also not to be accepted.

3. In case of all Registrations, the Study Materials would be sent by Main Stores(Noida) directly to students immediately on approval of the registration application by the Directorate of Student Services.

4. A “Step by Step Procedure for Online Registration” has been designed and the same is given at the end of this announcement. The same may be used by students as ready reference in future.

5. Students can make payment of applicable fees through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net banking or Bank Challan System ( through Canara Bank Branches).

6. Students are advised not to submit hard copies of supporting documents. Instead, they are required to upload scanned copies of documents in support of their qualification through online mode failing which the registration applications will not be processed.

B. ONLINE REGISTRATION PROCESS FOR CS PROFESSIONAL PROGRAMME :

1. Login to Online Services at www.icsi.edu

2. Click Student and then select My Account

3. Click Professional Registration under “Payment Request” option

4. Upload pass mark sheet of both modules of Executive Programme by clicking on choose file.

5. Make Payment of Rs 12,000/- through Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking.

6. For all successful payments an acknowledgement receipt is generated. in case receipt could not be generated due to any reason ,follow the procedure as given below :

• Click Student-> select My Account
• Click payment request->Generate payment Receipt Write Request id and Transaction id and click on check status.
• If payment is successful then the Receipt would be generated (otherwise the payment is not successful).

7. You are Successfully admitted in Professional Programme

8. In case of unsuccessful payment please resubmit your Professional Registration Form

9. After submission of fees download your Professional Registration Letter & E Identity Card under “other” option

After downloading the Identity card, students are compulsorily required to get it attested by any of the following authorities with his/her seal carrying name, professional membership No., designation and complete official address

Procedure To Online Registration For Professional Programme :  The Revision of fee is applicable for all students (I.E. OLD SYLLABUS/ NEW SYLLABUS) with effect from June 2017 Exam . The  Details Of CS Professional fee  are given here under :

CS Professional Exam Fee

The Examination Fee for Professional Programme is Rs. 1200/- per Module. The Institute allows facility to students to appear in examination in English as well as in Hindi. (Except Business Communication subject of Foundation Program).

• Late Fee for receipt of Examination Application – Rs.250
• Change of Examination Center/Module/Medium – Rs.250

Note: Surcharge for appearing in Examinations from Overseas Centre (Dubai) (over and above normal Examination Fee) US$ 100 (or equivalent amount in Indian Rupees)

Other Fees :

CS Professional Passing Marks: 

A candidate is declared to have passed the CS Professional examination, if he/she secures at one sitting a minimum of 40% marks in each paper and 50% marks in the aggregate of all subjects.

CS Professional Registration Cut-Off Dates:

• 28th February for appearing in both modules in December Exams in the same year.
• 31st May for appearing in single module in December Examination in the same year
• 31st August  for appearing in both modules in June Exam in the next year
• 30th November for appearing in single module in June Examination in the next year.

Procedure To Online Registration For Professional Programme :   Practical experience and training requirements 

1. 15 months training after passing the Executive Programme or Professional Programme on completion of Student Induction Program and Executive Development Program with companies and Company Secretaries in Practice registered with the Institute for imparting training

2. 25 hours of Professional Development Programme (PDP) during 15 months training

3. 8 days Executive Development Programme (EDP) – after passing the Executive Programme and before commencement of 15 months training.

4. 3 months practical training is required to be undergone by the student if the student completes professional program examination and exempted from undergoing at least 12 months training on the basis of Company Secretaries Regulations,1982, as amended on submitting the documents to the Institute and fulfills the requirement of Regulation 48. This training will be exempted to the students who have undergone 15 months training.

5. 15 days training in a specialized agency such as Registrar of Companies (ROC) / Stock Exchange / Financial and Banking Institution/Management Consultancy Firm can only be commenced if the student completes SIP,EDP , 15 months training and having passed professional program examination.

6. 15 days Management Skills Orientation Programme (MSOP)- after Professional Programme and on completion of Executive Development Program and 15 months training

.7. The students can be exempted from undergoing training totally or partially depending on the practical experience possessed by them on fulfilling the requirement of the Company Secretaries Regulations,1982, as amended, on submitting the relevant documents.

8. A student after passing the Professional Programme may enroll as ‘Licentiate ICSI’ at his/her option until completion of training requirements.
