Prize Award Guidelines And Application Form For CS Executive : The Institute of Company Secretaries of India(ICSI) is constituted under an Act of Parliament i.e. the Company Secretaries Act, 1980 (Act No. 56 of 1980). ICSI is the only recognized professional body in India to develop and regulate the profession of Company Secretaries in India. The Institute of Company Secretaries of India awards the certificate of bestowing the designation of Company Secretary (CS) to a candidate qualifying for the membership of the Institute.

Prize Award Guidelines And Application Form For CS Executive :  It was in 1960 that the Company Law Board started a course in Company Secretaryship leading to the award of Government Diploma in Company Secretaryship. As the number of students taking up the Company Secretaryship course grew, the Government promoted on 4th October, 1968, Institute of Company Secretaries of India under Section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956 for taking over from the Government the conduct of Company Secretaryship examination.

Prize Award Guidelines And Application Form For CS Executive : The Institute awards prizes, merit scholarships and merit-cum-means assistance to the meritorious students based on their performance in the Institute’s examination. Merit-cum-Means assistance is granted to economically weaker students to enable them to pursue the course. Applicants belonging to SC/ST are required to pay only half the fee chargeable from other applicants.

 MERIT SCHOLARSHIP

Prize Award Guidelines And Application Form For CS Executive : In pursuance of para 7 of “Merit Scholarships (Company Secretaryship Course) Scheme 1983”, 15 numbers of scholarships are awarded in each session only to registered students, in order of their merit/rank, from amongst the candidates who appeared and passed in all the the subjects of their respective examination, at first attempt, in one sitting, without claiming exemption in any subject, on all-India basis and subject to other terms and conditions as stipulated under the above Scheme.

2. C.C.Sutaria’a Cash Award Awarded to a candidate who passes in all the eight papers of Final examination, at first attempt, in one sitting, without claiming exemption in any subject and obtaining highest percentage of marks in the aggregate taking into account the performances of all such candidates.
3. Rai Bahadur Seth Gujarmal Modi Memorial Award Awarded to a candidate who passes in all the eight papers of Final examination, at first attempt, in one sitting, without claiming exemption in any subject and obtaining second highest percentage of marks in the aggregate taking into account the performances of all the candidates appeared.
4. Saraswati Dhanuka Memorial Award Awarded to a candidate who passes in all the eight papers of Final examination, at first attempt, in one sitting, without claiming exemption in any subject and obtaining highest percentage of marks in the aggregate taking into account the performances of all such successful lady candidates.
5. Mantaram Memorial Annual Prize of Rs. 5,000 Awarded to a candidate who passes in all the eight papers of Final examination, at first attempt, in one sitting, without claiming exemption in any subject and obtaining highest percentage of marks in the aggregate taking into account the performances of all the candidates appeared in June and December examination of that Year.
6. Pt. Gopal Shastri Memorial Award Awarded to a candidate who passes in all the eight papers of Final examination, at first attempt, in one sitting, without claiming exemption in any subject and obtaining second highest percentage of marks in the aggregate taking into account the performances of all such successful lady candidates.
7. D.L. Mazumdar’s Silver Medal Awarded to a candidate who passes in all the eight papers of Final examination, at first attempt, in one sitting, without claiming exemption in any subject and obtaining highest marks in the Corporate laws & Practice-I Paper
8. D.L. Mazumdar’s Silver Medal Awarded to a candidate who passes in all the eight papers of Final examination, at first attempt, in one sitting, without claiming exemption in any subject and obtaining highest marks in the Corporate laws & Practice-II Paper
9. Past President Chinubhai R. Shah’s Silver Medal Awarded to a candidate who passes in all the eight papers of Final examination, at first attempt, in one sitting, without claiming exemption in any subject and obtaining highest marks in the Corporate laws & Practice-III Paper.
10. Vidya Nand Mehta Memorial Prize Award Awarded to a candidate who passes in all the eight papers of Final examination, at first attempt, in one sitting, without claiming exemption in any subject and obtaining highest marks in the Financial Management Paper.
11. J. B. Dani Memorial Award Awarded to a candidate who passes in all the eight papers of Final examination, at first attempt, in one sitting, without claiming exemption in any subject and obtaining highest marks in the Management Control & Information Paper.
12. Taxmann’s Prize Award Awarded to a candidate who passes in all the eight papers of Final examination, at first attempt, in one sitting, without claiming exemption in any subject and obtaining highest marks in the Corporate Tax Management – Direct Taxes Paper.
13. Ghanshyam Das Saraf Memorial Gold Medal Awarded to a candidate who passes in all the eight papers of Final examination, at first attempt, in one sitting, without claiming exemption in any subject and obtaining highest marks in the Corporate Tax Management-Indirect Taxes Paper.
14. Smt. GP Poddar Memorial Award Awarded to a candidate who passes in all the eight papers of Final examination, at first attempt, in one sitting, without claiming exemption in any subject and obtaining highest marks in the Secretarial & Management Audit Paper.
INTERMEDIATE EXAMINATION
15. President’s Silver Medal Awarded to a candidate who passes in all the eight papers of Intermediate examination, at first attempt, in one sitting, without claiming exemption in any subject and obtaining highest percentage of marks in the aggregate taking into account the performances of all the candidates appeared provided that the aggregate is not less than 55%.

Kedar Nath Prahalad Rai Dhanuka Memorial Award Awarded to a candidate who passes in all the eight papers of Intermediate examination, at first attempt, in one sitting, without claiming exemption in any subject and obtaining second highest percentage of marks in the aggregate taking into account the performances of all the candidates appeared provided that the aggregate is not less than 55%.
17. Mauji Ram Jain Memorial Award Awarded to a lady candidate who passes in all the eight papers of Intermediate examination, at first attempt, in one sitting, without claiming exemption in any subject and obtaining highest percentage of marks in the aggregate taking into account the performances of all successful lady candidates.
18. Smt. Bondada Samantha Kamani Memorial Silver Medal Awarded to a lady candidate who passes in all the eight papers of Intermediate examination, at first attempt, in one sitting, without claiming exemption in any subject and obtaining second highest percentage of marks in the aggregate taking into account the performances of all successful lady candidates.
19. Taxmann’s Prize Award Awarded to a lady candidate who passes in all the eight papers of Intermediate examination, at first attempt, in one sitting, without claiming exemption in any subject and obtaining highest marks in the Tax and Laws Paper.
FOUNDATION EXAMINATION
20. Sultan Chand Trust Prize Award Awarded to a candidate who passes in all the four papers of Foundation examination, at first attempt, in one sitting, without claiming any exemption and obtaining highest percentage of marks in the aggregate taking into account the performances of all such candidates.
21. Sultan Chand Trust Prize Award Awarded to a candidate who passes in all the four papers of Foundation examination, at first attempt, in one sitting, without any exemption and obtaining second highest percentage of marks in the aggregate taking into account the performances of all such candidates.
22. Sultan Chand Trust Prize Award Awarded to a candidate who passes in all the four papers of Foundation examination, at first attempt, in one sitting, without any exemption and obtaining third highest percentage of marks in the aggregate taking into account the performances of all such candidates.
23. DurgaDevi Saraf Memorial Gold Medal Awarded to a lady candidate who passes in all the four papers of Foundation examination, at first attempt, in one sitting, without any exemption and obtaining third highest percentage of marks in the aggregate taking into account the performances of all such lady candidates.

Prize Award Guidelines And Application Form For CS Executive : Merit-Cum Means Scholarship

Prize Award Guidelines And Application Form For CS Executive : In pursuance of para 8 of “Merit-Cum-Means Assistance (Company Secretaryship Course) Scheme 1983”, 15 numbers of financial assistance are awarded in each session only to registered students. According to the scheme, a candidate has to apply in prescribed form obtainable from the Institute, and submit their application within a specified date as notified from time to time. Any candidate applying for financial assistance should have passed the foundation/both groups of the Intermediate examination, at the first attempt, in one sitting, without claiming exemption in any subject. If the candidate is employed or is having an independent source of income, then the income should not be more than Rs. 36000 per annum and if he/she is dependent on his/her parents/guardian/spouse, then the combined income from all the sources should not be more than Rs. 48,000 per annum and also subject to other terms and conditions as stipulated under the above Scheme.

Students who have passed the Foundation examination must get registered with the Institute for pursuing Intermediate course within three months from the date of declaration of results to become eligible for award of the financial assistance.
