Panjab University Mcom Admission Form :  Panjab University is a public collegiate university located in Chandigarh, India. It originated in 1882, but was established in 1947, making it one of the oldest universities in India.

The university has 75 teaching and research departments and 15 centres for teaching and research at the main campus located at Chandigarh. It has 190 affiliated colleges spread over the eight districts of Punjab state and union-territory of Chandigarh, with Regional Centres at Muktsar, Ludhiana and Hoshiarpur cities in Punjab state.

The campus is residential, spread over 550 acres (2.2 km2) in sector 14 and 25 of the city of Chandigarh. The main administrative and academic buildings are located in sector 14, beside a health centre, a sports complex, hostels and residential housing

  • Mechanical Engineering (ME) (Mechanical Engineering (ME) Department, PUNJABI UNIVERSITY, PATIALA CAMPUS)
  • Civil Engineering (CIVIL) (Civil Engineering (CIVIL) Department, PUNJABI UNIVERSITY, PATIALA CAMPUS)

Eligibility :- The candidates seeking admission under above programme in this course must have qualified any Degree (Non-medical Science Group) with minimum 60% (55% for SC/ST & disabled persons categories) marks. In case total of obtained marks is not mentioned on the DMC of a candidate then a combination of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and a subject having greater marks out of other subjects (Punjabi, Hindi, Computer Science, Physical Education, Environmental Education etc.) will be considered to evaluate the minimum 60% marks criteria in order to determine eligibility of candidate. However, only the marks of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & English will be considered to calculate the percentage in order to prepare the merit list

Panjab University Mcom Admission Form : Panjab University Guidelines for Foreign Nationals/NRI Students seeking admission to Post Graduate/Undergraduate Courses.Following are the common Rules of the Panjab University for Foreign Nationals/NRI candidates: 

1. Candidates seeking admission under the Foreign Nationals/NRI Students category are required to submit their academic certificates as a proof of passing the qualifying examination for each course to which admission is to be sought. The minimum qualification for them would be same as for Indian Students.

2. 10 percent seats over and above the total number of regular seats in each course are reserved for the Foreign Nationals/NRI candidates.

3. Foreign Nationals/NRI candidates seeking admission to the concerned course are required to compete amongst themselves for the seats reserved for them by appearing in entrance test (wherever applicable) if they are in India. However those living abroad at the time of entrance test will be exempted from the entrance test.

4. Foreign Nationals/NRI candidates shall have to comply with any other requirements prescribed by the Government of India and Panjab University from time to time.

5. The candidates seeking admission to B.P.Ed. and M.P.Ed. (Physical Education) will be required to undergo mandatory Physical Efficiency Test. The scores of Physical Efficiency Test will be counted for determining merit.

6. Foreign Nationals/NRI candidates shall provide the academic certificate of passing the qualifying or equivalent examination as prescribed for each course to which admission is sought.

7. Fee : (A) Tuition Fee structure for Foreign Nationals/PIO/NRI candidates admitted against the seats created for them in teaching Departments will be as per as Fee structure prescribed by the Panjab University for Foreign Nationals/PIO/NRI candidates. (B) Besides tuition fee, all Foreign Nationals/PIO/NRI candidates are required to pay one time registration fee as prescribed by the Panjab University.

8. Visa : Candidates provisionally selected for Post Graduate/Undergraduate admission shall be issued provisional admission letters to facilitate their visa process. The final admission would be based only on production of passport and student Visa.

9. Other rules and regulations of Panjab University will apply to foreign students as well.

10. Admission Schedule : as per Panjab University admission schedule.

Only the following categories or classes of persons will be eligible for admission against the NRI quota and all admissions must be made accordingly (last year’s guidelines):–

1) Foreign nationals i.e. nationals or citizens of countries other than India who are not persons of Indian origin.

2) Persons of Indian origin who are citizens of countries other than India and hold the passport of the country concerned.

3) Candidates whose parents/ spouses are of Indian origin but are settled abroad and the candidates have obtained legal resident status of the country, like Green card and/or are under Immigration Visa and will pay fee from NRI accounts in foreign currency.

4) Candidates who are the children/wards/spouses of non-resident Indians, i.e., those who are settled overseas for purposes of employment, etc.

5) The word “Children” includes sons/daughters and grand-sons/grand-daughters, and the word “Ward” may include spouse, etc.

6) The candidates, falling under category 1-5 above shall be considered eligible for admission against Foreign Nationals/NRI quota.

7) Foreign nationals/NRI candidates who did not appear in the entrance test of courses where these are held but were in the country (India) at the time of test; however, these courses have vacant seats under Foreign National/NRI category.

8) Admission shall be granted to those Foreign Nationals/NRI (Category-7 above) candidates who may not have appeared in the entrance test, on the basis of inter-se merit in the courses against available seats.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CANDIDATES

1) Admission Form is of four pages. Candidates are advised to ensure that they print Admission Form on both sides of the paper.

2) All entries in the Admission Form must be made in the candidate’s own handwriting in a clear and legible manner. INCOMPLETE FORMS SHALL BE SUMMARILY REJECTED. If any column in the form is left unfilled or form is unsigned or any information sought is incomplete or the copies of requisite certificate(s) is/are not annexed, the Admission Form will be straightway rejected and no claim will be entertained later on. If any information sought is not applicable to the candidate, the word ‘N.A.’ should be entered against that column.

3) This form, complete in all respect, must be submitted to the concerned Teaching Department /Centre/ Institute as has been indicated in the Admission Notice of 2017-18 as well as in the Handbook of Information 2017 on or before the last date i.e. 11.08.2017.

4) If a candidate omits/conceals/misrepresents relevant information, his/her admission is liable to be cancelled and legal action will be taken.

5) Handbook of Information 2017 is available at http://admissions.puchd.ac.in/handbookofinformation.php.

6) Fees / funds and charges payable for various courses by the students shall be as prescribed by the University from time to time.

7) The filling of Admission Form in no way confirms eligibility. The admission shall be provisional throughout till the candidate’s proof of eligibility is confirmed by the University authorities.

Panjab University Mcom Admission Form :  Category I: M. A., M. Sc.,M.com PG Dip, B. Lib. and Information Science, M. Lib. and Information Science, Diploma/ Certificate Courses, M. P. Ed. (2 Years), MBA (Dual Degree) (Direct Admission Without Entrance Test), MBA (International Business) (Direct Admission Without Entrance Test), M. Pharmacy, Master of Physiotherapy, B. A. and other Bachelor Level Courses in Neighbourhood Campuses, Five Year Integrated Courses in Neighbourhood Campuses, B.A. (Hons.) in Journalism, Mass Communication & Media Technology (3 Years), B.A. (Hon’s) in TV and Film Production (3 Years) Centre for Advanced Media Studies, B. Pharmacy, BPT and M. Sc. Hon’s In Botany (FYIC), Certificate Courses and M. Tech. at YCoE, Talwandi Sabo etc. in which Admission is on the basis of Merit in qualifying Class (No Entrance Test).

  • The students are advised to follow following two steps:
    • STEP ONE: Submit the Online Application-cum-Admission Form.
    • STEP TWO: Appear for the interview as per schedule given in Handbook of Information.
  • Category II: M.Sc. Honours Biotechnology, M. Com., M.Com. (Finance), M.Com. Hon’s (FYIC), M. Sc. Hon’s in Botany (Two Years), M.Sc. Honours Microbial and Food Technology, MCA, M. Tech. (CE, ECE, ME), M. Tech. (CSE), LL.M., M.Ed., MBA, M. Phil, Ph.D., Postgraduate Courses in which admission is on the Merit basis in the Entrance Test.
    The students seeking admission to M.Ed./ MCA/ M.Tech./ L.L.M./ M.Phil. & Ph.D. courses are advised to follow following four steps:
    • STEP ONE: Submit the Application-cum-Entrance Test Form ( GATE/ NET/ M. Phil (Punjabi University Entracne Test Qualified)/ UGC etc. have to fill the form compulsorily)
    • STEP TWO: Download the Admit Card.
    • STEP THREE: Appear in the entrance test
    • STEP FOUR: Successful candidates to appear for counseling/interview.

    Remarks: Choice for particular Course/ Institute if not asked in the Application Form will be considered during Physical Counselling/Interview.

  • Category III: B.Tech. Lateral Entry for Diploma Holders in 2nd year, Six Year Integrated B.Tech.-M.B.A. Programme (First Year), Lateral Entry in Six Years Engineering Management Integrated Programme (Second Year).
    The students are advised to follow following two steps:
    • STEP ONE: Submit the Application-cum-Admission Form
    • STEP TWO: Appear for the interview as per schedule given on website.

Panjab University Mcom Admission Form :  IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

  • Size of Photograph and Signature should be less than 20 KB each.
  • A Candidate who has appeared in the qualifying examination and his/her result is still awaited, may also apply and can submit his/her admission form online as the case may be. He/She has to update his/her online form whenever he/she gets the result till the date given by Centralized Admission Cell (it is in the interest of the applicant), otherwise, he/she will be required to submit his/her result at the time of interview.

Other Important Instructions:

  • Check the eligibility norms and norms about age of the Bar Council of India and/ or the participating universities very carefully before applying for admission.
  • You are solely responsible for the information supplied by you online or otherwise.
  • Be sure that if the information given by you proves to be wrong, you will be punished under law and you will be summarily expelled from the institution where you had got admission on the basis of the false information.
  • Allocation of seat doesn’t entitle you automatically to get admissions to the course. This will be subject to checking of your original documents and your eligibility at the institution level in which you will be allocated the seat.
  • You can make claim for only one category in the admission form. You must understand that you will not be entertained/ permitted at the later stage to make any change of category in the application form.
