Panjab University Bcom Hall Ticket : The Panjab University is one of the oldest universities established in the year 1882 as University of Punjab in Lahore. Now in Chandigarh, the university is affiliated to about 188 colleges and 4 constituent colleges located at Sikhwala, Balachur, Nihalsingh Wala and Guru Harsahai respectively. The University provides admissions to its different post graduate courses through the Common Entrance Test (CET) held especially for this purpose.

Panjab University issues the Admit Card for BA/B.Com LLB (Hons.) Entrance Examination from May 15 onwards, a week before the Panjab University Entrance on May 21, 2017. The Admit Card for the Panjab University Law Entrance Examination 2017 was the Roll Number Slip that has been made available in online mode. Candidates could download their Panjab University 2017 Admit Card/Roll Number Slip from the official link given in this page.

The Panjab University Roll Number Slip was accessible to candidates after they entered their Login and Password, generated during the time of Panjab University application process. Candidates could see their Panjab University Roll Number and their Centre of Examination on the Panjab University 2017 Admit Card.

Panjab University 2017 provides admissions to B.A./B.Com.LL.B. (Hons.) Five Years Integrated Courses offered by  Panjab University. The Admit Card for the Panjab University UG Entrance Test was a very important document and needed to be presented by candidates at their respective  Panjab University Exam Centres.

Those candidates who did not carry their  Panjab University Admit Card/Roll Number Slip were not allowed to appear for PU BA/BCom LLB Entrance Examination 2017. PU BA/BCom LLB Entrance Exam 2017 Eligibility Criteria states that any aspirant who has appeared for/cleared his/her 10+2 exam from the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi or an equivalent exam conducted by a recognised Board/University/Council is eligible to appear for PU BA/BCom LLB Entrance Exam.

Panjab University follows the eligibility criteria for Law course admissions as specified by the Bar Council of India in 2010, “Candidate should have passed 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC/ST/BC/PwD) from any recognised Board/University. However, the candidates qualifying 10+2 through Open Universities system directly without having any basic qualification for prosecuting such studies are not eligible for admission in the law courses”.

Aspirants are further informed that if they are taking their 10+2 examination in March 2017 then they will be offered admission on provisional basis. If they fail to pass or have to reappear or even if they do not secure the required percentage of marks in the qualifying examination, then their admission will stand cancelled.

The official website informs: “The applicants who have obtained 10+2 through Open Universities system directly without having any basic qualification for prosecuting such studies are not eligible for admission in the law courses.” As per proviso and explanation to Rule 5 (b) of Bar Council of India Rules of Legal Education, 2008”.

Note: Apart from this, the official website informs that any aspirant who has passed/appeared in his/her 10+2 exam of Mahila Gram Vidyapith, Allahabad is not eligible to appear for PU BA/BCom LLB entrance exam 2017 as the college has been de-recognised by Panjab University, Chandigarh.

Step 1: Fill PU BA/BCom LLB Application Form

Aspirants need to register for Panjab University admissions online on the official website of PU BA/BCom LLB Entrance Exam 2017.

To successfully register for PU BA/BCom LLB Entrance Exam aspirants need to follow the below mentioned steps:

  • Register Online
  • Note down Login ID and Password.
  • Download SBI Slip and pay fee in any SBI branch of India.
  • Login and upload scanned photograph, signature, fill other important information and lastly, Save and Confirm.

Note: Candidature of any aspirant who fills up two PU BA/BCom LLB application forms would be cancelled.

Step 2: Download PU BA/BCom LLB Admit card

Candidates can download their PU BA/BCom LLB Entrance Exam 2017 admit card from the official website of the test by filling in their login ID and password.

Step 3: Give PU BA/BCom LLB Exam

Candidates need to appear for the entrance exam as per Panjab University date sheet for the test. PU BA/BCom LLB entrance exam 2017 is of 90 minutes duration and candidates are evaluated out of a total of 100 marks. The official website releases PU BA/BCom LLB sample papers which aspirants can practice to perform better in the exam.

Step 4: Check PU BA/BCom LLB Result/ Preliminary Merit List

Aspirants can download PU BA/BCom LLB entrance exam 2017 result from the official website of the exam. No separate PU BA/BCom LLB Result Card will be issued to candidates.

The official website informs: “The name of the candidate shall be included in a Preliminary Merit List on the basis of attainment of a minimum of 15% (cut-off) marks (10% Cut-Off marks in case of a candidate belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Backward Class) in the Entrance Test”.

Step 5: Fill Application Form for PU BA/BCom LLB Admissions

Once PU BA/BCom LLB entrance test result is declared, admission form will be made available at Panjab University website.

In this application form, aspirants need to mention details of their reservation category. Also, candidates applying for admission under Sports Quota need to mention the same in the form. Apart from this, candidates who want to claim weightage on the basis of NCC, NSS, Adult Education and other activities have to follow guidelines that are mentioned on the official website.

Step 6: Check Final Merit List

After all the above steps have been followed Panjab University will release the PU BA/BCom LLB merit list. Candidates are informed that PU BA/BCom LLB 2017 merit list will be prepared as per the below mentioned criteria:

Step 7: Appear for PU BA/BCom LLB Counselling

Candidates whose name appears in PU BA/BCom LLB merit list then need to appear personally for the counselling round wherein selected candidates need to complete the below mentioned steps:

  • Deposit the original certificates
  • Pay the prescribed fees

Aspirants are informed that in the counselling process for UILS, Chandigarh, UILS, PUSSGRC, Hoshiarpur and UIL, PURC, Ludhiana “the number of candidates called for counselling in General Category will be the three times, the number of seats” available for admission.

PU BA/BCom LLB entrance exam pattern comprises of questions related to legal and general awareness. Panjab University entrance exam for law course admissions is of 90 minutes duration wherein aspirants need to attempt a total of 100 questions.

The question paper for PU BA/BCom LLB exam is in English, Hindi and Punjabi language (expect for the test portion on proficiency in English Language).
