HOW TO DO PAN REGISTRATION WITH INCOME TAX DEPARTMENT

Registration of a pan is the first and foremost thing in the process of e-filing of income tax returns.

The information required for registration of the PAN is :

  1. Pan Number
  2. Name of the Assesses (along with Surname)
  3. Father Name (even for women)
  4. Status of Assesses (Individual, HUF, Firm Etc.)
  5. E-Mail ID
  6. Phone Number
  7. Address for Communication

–>  Collect the same from the client or Assesses.

Step – 1: Open a net Browser and Search for incometaxindiaefiling

Step—2: Select incometaxindiaefiling and then select register

Step—3: Select status of the assesses ( information required for pan registration varies from user to user but the basic information required is given above ).

Step—4 : Enter the basic details of assesses (for individual)

The problem which generally faced by a PAN Registrar is to know  the complete name of the assesses. For that we can go for know your jurisdiction and fill the details respectively

Then enter your PAN number and captcha code:

Then submit the details. It will show the information like

Step—5: enter the details like password , secret questions, address for communication etc.1

–>The password should contain alphanumeric and special characters

Step— 6:Finally submit the registration form.

Step—7: confirmation for successful PAN Registration

Step—8: after successful PAN Registration income tax department sends an activation link to the registered mail Id. open mail which is given for PAN registration and click on activation link

Step—9: for security purpose income tax department sends a pin number to the registered mobile number. Enter the pin number.

 

Step—10:After entering Pin number the PAN will be successfully registered and activated. The Activation message also get displayed on the screen.

If you have entered the wrong mail-id or mobile number for PAN registration then also no issues there is an option called resend activation link.

Click on resend activation link

Select user type such as Individual, HUF, Company etc

Fill the details in the below form correctly and submit the same.

You will get a message like below

and repeat the steps 8 and 9 for activating the PAN.

Step—11: The next step is to login to the income tax website and communicate with the Income Tax Department.
