List of Subjects under State, Central and Concurrent India:

ICSI CSEET: The Council of the ICSI has released a notice regarding CSEET on the day of the inauguration of ICSI Golden Jubilee Celebrations on 4th Oct 2017.

The Gazette Notification on the Company Secretaries (Amendment) Regulations, 2020 has been published on 3rd February 2020 in the Official Gazette of India and the same shall be applicable from the said date of publication.

Now ICSI Published a notice regarding CSEET Test which going to start from 2020 May.

List of Subjects under State, Central and Concurrent India:

The powers of Indian government has divided into three lists:

  1. Union list/Central list
  2. State list
  3. Concurrent list

List of Subjects Union list/Central: It contains 97 subjects like Defense, Foreign affairs, railways, telegraphs, foreign trade & currency etc.

Central government has powers to make laws on the subjects in the mentioned list:

Defense, Atomic Energy, Foreign affairs, War & Peace, Banking, railways, post & telegraph, Airways, ports, Foreign Trade, currency & coinage.

List of Subjects State List: It contains 66 subjects like police and jails. agriculture, local government, trade and commerce, liquor etc.

Central government has powers to make laws on the subjects in the mentioned list:

Agriculture, Police, Prison, Local Government, public health, land, liquor, trade & commerce, Livestock & animal Husbandry state public services.

List of Subjects Concurrent list: It includes 47 subjects like education, forests, marriage and divorce etc. It can make laws to both state and central list.

Central government has powers to make laws on the subjects in the mentioned list:

Education, Transfer of property other than agricultural land, Forests, Trade union,Adulteration, adoption & Succession.

Residuary Powers:Include all other matters not mentioned in any of the lists i.e, Cyber laws. Union legislature alone has the power to legislate on such matters.
