Karnataka Start Date For Class 12 Commerce Registration :   The pre-university course or pre-degree course, popularly abbreviated to PUC or PDC, is an intermediate course (which is known as 10+2) of two years’ duration, conducted by state education institutions or boards in India. This pre-university course is also known as the Plus-two or Intermediate course. Admission to this course is based on marks obtained for the Secondary School Leaving Certificate, awarded after successful completion of five years of primary school, followed by five years of secondary school. The Indian education system follows a 10+2+3 (4 or 5) pattern, so that a Bachelor’s degree requires a minimum of 10 years of school, plus two years of PUC, plus either three, four or five years at university. Colleges offering a pre-university course are known as PU Colleges or Junior colleges in India.

Karnataka Start Date For Class 12 Commerce Registration : The board has ventured to conduct the supplementary examination for the failed candidates of the examination of March in June month of every year itself; this will enable the students who would be successful in the June examination to join higher education courses in the same academic year from July itself. This process was introduced first time in the country.

Karnataka Class 12 commerce registration procedure

Admission to class 12 in a school shall be open only to such a student who has passed :

(a) Secondary School Examination (Class  12 examination) conducted by this Board; or

(b) an equivalent examination conducted by any other recognised Board of Secondary Education/ Indian University and recognised by this Board as equivalent to its secondary school examination.

(i) Admission register in the form prescribed by the State Government concerned/Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan/Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti as the case may be, shall be maintained by the “School” where the name of every student joining “the School” shall be entered.

(ii) Successive numbers must be allotted to students on their admission and each student should retain this number throughout the whole of his career in the school. A student returning to the school after absence of any duration shall resume his original admission number.

(iii) If a student applying for admission to a school, has attended any other school, an authenticated copy of the Transfer certificate in the format given in Annexure I, from his last school must be produced before his name can be entered in the Admission Register.

(iv) In no case shall a student be admitted into a class higher than that for which he is entitled according to the transfer certificate.

(v) A student shall not be allowed to migrate from one “School” to another during the session after his name has been sent up for the examination of the Board. This condition may be waived only in special circumstances by the Chairman.

(vi) A student leaving his school at the end of a session or who is permitted to leave his school during the session shall on a payment of all dues, receive an authenticated copy of the Transfer certificate up to date. A duplicate copy may be issued if the head of the institution is satisfied that the original is lost but it shall always be so marked.

(vii) In case a student from an institution not affiliated to the Board seeks admission in a school affiliated to the Board, such a student shall produce a transfer certificate duly countersigned by an authority.

(viii) If the statement made by the parent or guardian of a student or by the student himself/herself, if he/she was major at the time of his/her admission to a school, is found to contain any wilful misrepresentation of facts regarding the student’s career, the head of the institution may punish him/her as per provision of the Education Act of the State/Union Territory or Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan/Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti rules, as the case may be, respectively and report the matter to the Board.

Karnataka Start Date For Class 12 Commerce Registration :  The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) has declared the results for Class 12 commerce stream. The Pre-University Courses 2 (PUC 2) results for the January 2015 examination were published last week and can be viewed on the official website of the Board.

The students can view their results by following these steps:

  • Go to the official website
  • Click on the link ‘Commerce Exam Results 2015’
  • Insert your registration number
  • Insert the security code
  • Click on submit

The results will be displayed on the computer screens.

Once the students who appeared for the examination have checked their results online, they also have the option to download the PDF file of their results and take a printout for future reference.

Approximately eight lakh students appear for the Karnataka SSLC examination every year. Last year, over six lakh students had taken the PUC 2 examination, out of which more than three lakh cleared the exam. The pass percentage was 62 percent for the science stream, 70 percent for the commerce stream and 51 percent for the arts stream.

The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board conducts the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) i.e. Class 12 examinations and other examinations in the state every year. The Board was founded for the promotion and development of Secondary Education in Karnataka.

The KSEEB was established by the government of Karnataka in 1966 and subsequently began the process of conducting examinations.It has the power to regulate, supervise and control school education in Karnataka. Its primary function is to prepare academic programmes and organise examinations, especially for state level Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC or Class 12).

The main purpose and duties of the board are to recommend syllabus, propose rules and specify courses of instruction and textbooks, teaching by correspondence courses, recognition of higher school and higher secondary schools in Karnataka.
