ICSI Merit Cum Means Assistance Scheme : ICSI Merit Cum Means Assistance Scheme Foundation Executive Professional 2017. In pursuance of pars 13 of the “Merit-cum-Means Assistance (Company Secretaryship Course) Scheme, 1983”, as amended up to 9th April, 2017, applications are invited to reach the Institute in the prescribed form on or before 25th November, 20197 for award of 25 numbers of financial assistance each for pursuing Executive Programme and Professional Programme of the “company secretaryship” from students who fulfill the eligibility criteria laid down under the said scheme.

ICSI Merit Cum Means Assistance Scheme : According to the scheme, a candidate applying for assistance should have passed Foundation Programme or Both Modules of the Executive Programme examination without exemption in any paper, at one sitting, in the first attempt in June, 2017 examination. The income of such an applicant, if employed or is having an independent source of income, should not be more than Rs.2,40,000/- per annum and if he/she is dependent on his/her parents/guardian/spouse whether partially or wholly, the combined gross income from all sources should not be more than Rs.3,60,000/- per annum.
Prescribed application form together with a copy of the Merit-cum-Means Assistance (Company Secretaryship Course) Scheme, 1983 can be downloaded from the Institute’s Website www.icsi.edu under Examination Section or obtained by post from the Institute free of cost by sending a self-addressed envelope of 23 cms. x 11 cms. size duly affixed with postage stamp worth Rs.10/-. Applications not made on the prescribed forms and/or without supporting documents, incomplete applications, applications not fulfilling the eligibility criteria laid down under the scheme or applications not reaching the Institute on or before 251h November, 2015 are liable to be rejected.

Scheme Details
Objective: The objective of the Scheme is to provide financial assistance to the poor and meritorious students belonging to minority communities to enable them to pursue professional and technical courses.
Scope: These scholarships are available for studies in India only and will be awarded through State Government/UT Administration or an Agency designated by the State Government/UT Administration for this purpose.

ICSI Merit Cum Means Assistance Scheme : Prize Award Guidelines And Application Form For CS Executive : In pursuance of para 7 of “Merit Scholarships (Company Secretaryship Course) Scheme 1983”, 15 numbers of scholarships are awarded in each session only to registered students, in order of their merit/rank, from amongst the candidates who appeared and passed in all the the subjects of their respective examination, at first attempt, in one sitting, without claiming exemption in any subject, on all-India basis and subject to other terms and conditions as stipulated under the above Scheme.
Merit Scholarship Scheme
Q.1. What is the object of this scheme?
ANS. The scheme is intended to recognize meritorious performance in the Institute’s examinations and accordingly provide scholarships to meritorious candidates to pursue studies for the Executive and Professional Programme examinations of the company secretary ship course.
Q.2. What are the Guidelines of the scheme?
ANS. The Guidelines for this scheme are available on the website of the Institute www.icsi.edu under Examination Section.
Q.3. Who is eligible under this scheme?
ANS. The candidate who have passed all the papers of Foundation Programme/Executive Programme examination at one sitting, in the first attempt, without claiming exemption in any subject and secured at least a minimum of 55 per cent marks in the aggregate; and have applied for registration as a student of the Institutewithin three months from the date of declaration of his/her result.
Q.4. How no. of scholarships is allowed under this scheme? .
ANS. Total 25 nos. of assistance each are allowed for both Foundation Programme and Executive Programme passed candidates.
Q.5. What is the value and period of assistance?
ANS. The candidate selected for the award of scholarship will get Rs. 500/- per month for 10 months
Q.6. Can the Institute cancel the scholarship at any stage?
ANS. Yes, the scholarship may be recovered, withdrawn or cancelled, at the discretion of the Institute, if at any time it is found that:
(i) The student is not pursuing postal/oral coaching or course of studies to the satisfaction of the Institute or otherwise considered not eligible for continuance of the scholarship;
(ii) The conduct of the candidate has not been found satisfactory in pursuance of regulation 27 of the ‘Company Secretaries Regulations, 1982.
Q.7. Whether the candidate need to apply for availing the scholarship under the scheme?
ANS. No. The candidates need not apply for the scholarship. The Institute suo moto send a communication to this effect to the eligible candidates.

Q.1. Who is eligible for Merit-cum-Means Assistance?
ANS. The candidate who have passed all the papers of Foundation Programme/Executive Programme examination at one sitting, in the first attempt, without claiming exemption in any paper, and secured a minimum of 50 per cent marks in the aggregate.
Q.2. What are the Guidelines of the scheme?
ANS. The Guidelines as well as prescribed application form for this scheme are available on the website of the Institute www.icsi.edu under Examination Section.
Q.3. What is the income limit for availing assistance under this scheme?
ANS. The candidate, if employed or is having an independent source of income of not more than Rs.1,50,000 in a year if living on his/her independent income OR
He/she is dependent on his/her parents/guardian/spouse whether partially or wholly, the combined gross income from all sources should not be more than Rs.2,50,000 per annum; and the candidate should have no other source from which any assistance/scholarship is received simultaneously while pursuing the course for company secretary ship.
Q.4. How many assistance are allowed under this scheme?
ANS. Total 25 nos. of assistance each are allowed for both Foundation Programme and Executive Programme passed candidates for pursuing the Executive Programme and Professional Programme.
Q.5. What is the value of assistance?
ANS. The candidate selected for the award of assistance will get Rs.350/- per month for 10 months and will be exempted from payment of Education fees and Examination fees.

According to the scheme, a candidate has to apply in prescribed form obtainable from the Institute, and submit their application within a specified date as notified from time to time. Any candidate applying for financial assistance should have passed the foundation/both groups of the Intermediate examination, at the first attempt, in one sitting, without claiming exemption in any subject.
