ICSI membership Procedure

There are Two Types of Member of The ICSI institute.Associate Company Secretary(ACS) and Fellow Company Secretary(FCS).

ICSI Membership fees

he annual membership and certificate of practice fee payable is as follows:-

Requirements for enrolment as ACS:-

Submit Application in Form-A (available on the web-site of the Institute) complete in all respects duly signed by the candidate along with fee as per details given below:-
(i) Associate Entrance fee Rs. 1500/-

(ii) Associate annual membership fee Rs. 1125/- (*)

(iii) Neck tie/lady broach Rs. 50/- (Optional)

Total Rs. 2675/-

(*) Rs. 562.50 if admitted during 1st October to 31st March.

(i) The fee may be paid by way of demand draft or local cheque was drawn in favour of ‘The Institute of Company Secretaries of India’, due at New Delhi

(ii) or through online gateway payment.

(iii) The same may also be paid in cash at the counter of the Institute’s Head Quarter or Regional Offices/ Chapter offices located at Mumbai, Kolkata, New Delhi, Chennai and Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Pune respectively. Outstation cheques will not be accepted.

Requirements for enrolment as Fellow member FCS:-

(a) Application in Form-B duly completed in all respects and signed.

(b) Fellow Entrance fee Rs. 1000/-

Fellow annual membership fee Rs. 1500/- (*)

Total Rs. 2500/-

(*) In the case of Associate membership fee has already been paid, then the difference of Annual membership fee of ACS & FCS i.e. Rs.375/-.

In case of members claiming FCS on the basis of experience of employment:-

(a) Service certificate(s) from the employer(s) mentioning date of joining/leaving, nature of duties completed and the post(s) held and elevations, if any, from time to time;

(b) Certificate(s) from the past and present employer companies certifying paid-up capital, turnover and total assets of the companies for the applicable period of 5 years or annual reports of the company for the relevant period.

ICSI Benevolent Fund (CSBF)
  • To be applied in the application form prescribed for CSBF
  • One time (life time) payment of Rs. 7500/- is to be made to become the member of CSBF
  • Payable by cash or local cheque or Demand Draft (drawn in favour of “Company Secretaries Benevolent Fund” payable at New Delhi)

Last date for payment of Annual Membership Fee and steps for Online Payment is 30th June

The Annual Membership fee/Certificate of Practice fee for the year 2013-14 became due for payment w.e.f. 1 April, 2013 and the last date for payment of the same is 30th June, 2013.

We wish to inform you that the Annual Membership fee and Certificate of Practice fee payable is as under:-

(i)       Associate Membership fee Rs.1,125/-

(ii)      Fellow Membership fee Rs.1,500/-

(iii)     Certificate of Practice fee Rs.1,000/- (*)

(*)  The members holding Certificate of Practice may kindly send along with remittance of fee, the declaration in ‘Form-D’ duly filled in and signed also indicating details of credit hours secured, for renewal of their Certificate of Practice for the year 2013-14. Form–D is available on the website of the Institute www.icsi.edu

Members are requested to kindly make payment online through Institute’s web portal www.icsi.edu . The steps for online payment are given below this mail. It may please be noted that no transaction charges for online payment will be charged from the members . However, Cheque / demand draft payable at New Delhi/ cheque at par favouring “The Institute of Company Secretaries of India” towards the remittance of fee are also acceptable.

ICSI Membership Card

The members of the Institute are being provided with identity card.

Requirements

1.Request in writing to the Membership Section of the Institute for  issue of the same with their latest coloured passport size photograph indicating name, membership no. and date of birth

2.The request may be made in the format available on the web-site of the Institute.

ICSI Membership Form

A candidate who has passed the Professional Programme examination of the Institute and completed the training requirements in all respects or exempted therefrom on the basis of experience may apply for Associate membership of the Institute in the approved Form ‘A’ available on the website of the Institute www.icsi.edu. The form must be completed in all respects and no column should be left blank. If any item is not applicable, the words ‘not applicable’ should be stated.

Candidates who are in employment at the time of filling of application must give office address in the column ‘Professional Address’. In case professional address is not provided, the residential address would be treated as communication address by default and the same would be displayed on the website. The application should be accompanied with the following:-

1. Two fitness certificates in the prescribed form from the members of the Institute having at least three years standing as a member of the Institute.

2. A crossed demand draft for the requisite amount of the fee payable at the time of applying for membership as under:-

  • Rs 1500 towards entrance fee
  • Rs 1125 towards annual fee (50 per cent payable if admitted between October and March)
  • Rs 500 for Necktie (optional)
  • Rs 100 for Lady Broach (optional)

3. A passport size photograph be pasted on the specimen signature card.

4. Scanned image of photograph in jpeg format be sent separately at e-mail Ids acs@icsi.edu /santosh.jha@icsi.edu .

Application for membership can be made online along with remittance of the requisite fee by net banking through Institute’s portal www.icsi.in.

ICSI Membership period

How To Renew Certification Of Practice

  1. The Certificate of Practice issued to a member is required to be renewed every financial year by payment of annual certificate fee, which presently is Rs. 1000, and the annual membership fee, which presently is Rs. 1125 for an Associate Member and Rs. 1500 for a Fellow Member
  2. For effecting renewal of Certificate of Practice, the member has also to submit a declaration for the renewal of Certificate of Practice. The format of declaration is available on the website of the Institute.

ICSI Membership Application form

There are Two Types of Member of The ICSI institute.Associate Company Secretary(ACS) and Fellow Company Secretary(FCS).

Associate Member

A person who has passed the Professional Programme examination of the Institute and has completed training requirements in all respects or exempted therefrom on the basis of experience shall be entitled to get himself enrolled as an Associate Member. On his admission to Associateship, he is entitled to use the descriptive letters “ACS” after his name to denote that he is an Associate Member of the Institute and also to use the designation “Company Secretary” under his name.

Fellow Member

A person is entitled to get himself enrolled as a Fellow if he is an Associate Member for at least five years and fulfils the other conditions stipulated in the Regulation 4 (2) of the Company Secretaries Regulations, 1982. Eligible members may apply for Fellow Membership of the Institute in approved Form B available on the website of the Institute www.icsi.edu. The application should be accompanied with the following:

1. Experience Certificate indicating the designation, period of employment, details of nature of duties, paid up share capital of the organization issued by the competent authority or copy of certificate of practice of the respective professional body/ Institute;

2. A crossed demand draft for the requisite amount of the fee payable at the time of applying for Fellow membership as under:

  • Rs 1000 towards entrance fee
  • Rs 1500 towards annual fee

Members who have already paid the annual membership fee for the relevant year will pay the difference of annual membership from Associate to Fellow i.e. 375/- along with entrance fee of ` 1000/-.

Application for membership can be made online along with remittance of the requisite fee by net banking through Institute’s portal www.icsi.in.

Upon his advancement to Fellowship, he is entitled to use the descriptive letters “FCS” after his name to denote that he is a Fellow Member of the Institute.
