ICAI Campus Placement – The Committee for Professional Accountants in Business & Industry (CPABI) of ICAI has since long been organizing Campus Placement Programmes for Newly Qualified Chartered Accountants twice in a year and is committed to provide world class placement services to those talents in various corporations and business houses.

In its endeavor to provide quality Accounting, Finance, Tax, Audit and Management Consultancy personnel to recruiting entities, the Committee has successfully organised one more round of Campus Placement Programme for the Newly Qualified Chartered Accountants at twenty one (6 bigger and 15 smaller) centres viz. Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Baroda, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Durgapur, Ernakulam, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kanpur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, Navi Mumbai, New Delhi, Pune, Thane and Vasai in February-March, 2016.

ICAI Campus Placement Programme Aug. & Sept. 2015

The 42nd edition of the campus placement programme for the newly-qualified chartered accountants was organised at 19 centres across the country in two phases, where 7,358 candidates registered to avail themselves of placement facility. In the first phase, placement was conducted at 13 smaller centres where 296 offers were made to the candidates. In the second phase, the programme was conducted at 6 bigger centres, where 903 offers were made to the successful candidates. Altogether, I am happy to acknowledge that 87 organisations with their 163 interview teams participated, which included public-sector undertakings and banks. Trident Ltd. offered the highest salary, i.e. 21 lakh per annum, in this programme in Chandigarh and Indore.

I am happy to inform that the ICAI is also organizing an international placement through videoconference in December 2015 in six metro cities, i.e. Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and New Delhi.

Executive Summary

1. Highest salary offered for Domestic posting in the Campus Placement Programme is Rs. 21.00 lacs Per Annum (TCTC) offered by Trident Limited at Chandigarh & Indore centers to 9 candidates.
2. Average CTC offered is Rs 7.61 Lacs Per Annum.
3. 1231* jobs were offered to the candidates who had participated in Campus Placement Programme.
4. 88 organizations and 164 Interview Teams have participated during the Campus Placement Programme.

Salient features

1. Candidates were given two chances to meet the recruiting organisations via opting for two centers, first at smaller center and second (if the candidates has not been selected at smaller centers) at bigger centers.
2. The committee organised Orientation Programme for candidates so as to sharpen their soft skills and to provide them technical updates.

The Committee for Members in Industry (CMII) of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) takes care of the interest of the members who are in industry and organizes Campus Placement Programmes for Chartered Accountants. The CMII is pleased to announce the next Campus Placement Programme for Newly Qualified Chartered Accountants during August-September 2015.This programme would provide an opportunity to the employers to interact with newly qualified Chartered Accountants peruse their particulars and recruit the suitable one in their organizations. An organisation and firms of Chartered Accountants may participate at one or more centres and recruit Chartered Accountants.

Advantages of Participating in the Campus Placement Programme of CMII of ICAI

1. a) The CMII of ICAI organizes Campus Placement Programmes at 22 centres across the country in a corporate environment and the pre process of interview is highly technologically driven through placement portal http://placement.icai.org.
2. b) It is a One Stop solution for the recruiters to recruit the Chartered Accountants for their organisations and carries the advantage of being a unitary platform for the recruitment of the young Chartered Accountants.
3. c) It is a Cost effective mode with significantly shorter recruitment cycles, for the corporates for recruiting young Chartered Accountants together with an improved quality of recruitment process.
4. d) Another advantage of Campus Placement is that, after the declaration of results, ICAI holds the Campus Placement Programme which reduces the time for an organisation to pick the candidates according to their need.
5. e) The arrangements for the conduct of the entire process at all the centres are made by CMII of ICAI.

Eligibility for appearing in ICAI Campus Placement Programme to be held in August-September, 2015.

The candidates who fulfil the following criteria are eligible to appear in the Campus Placement Programme to be held in August-September, 2015: 

*While attending the Orientation Programme/Campus Interviews candidates should either carry the relevant proof of applying for the membership of the Institute or should submit a written declaration that they would apply for the membership by dates as mentioned above.

In the cases where the candidates clearing their CA. Final Examination in May 2015 and have completed their Articleship and GMCS by 31^st October 2015 but have not attained the age of 21 years shall be eligible to participate in the Campus Placement Programme August-September 2015 only on providing an undertaking that they shall be obtaining the Membership of the Institute immediately

4. 1370* jobs were offered to the candidates who had participated in Campus Placement Programme.
5. 90 organizations and 183 Interview Teams have participated during the Campus Placement Programme.
6. Religare Finvest Limited had participated in the Second Round of Campus Interviews conducted in April 2015 at Bangalore centre (10 offered and 9 accepted) and at Mumbai centre (11 offered and 11 accepted).
7. Blue Dart Express Limited had participated in the Second Round of Campus Interviews conducted in May 2015 at Mumbai centre (5 offered and 5 accepted).
