Delhi University Bcom Important Dates : The University of Delhi is the premier university of the country and is known for its high  standards in teaching and research and attracts  eminent scholars to  its faculty. It  was  established in  1922 as a unitary, teaching and residential  university by an Act of the then Central Legislative  Assembly.   The President of India is the Visitor,  the Vice  President is  the Chancellor  and  the  Chief Justice  of the Supreme Court of India is the Pro-Chancellor of the University.

Ever since its  inception, a strong  commitment to  excellence in  teaching and research has  made the University of Delhi a role-model and path-setter for other universities in the country. Its rich academic tradition has  always attracted  the most  talented students  who later on  went on to make  important contributions to their society.

Five Departments namely Chemistry, Geology, Zoology, Sociology and History have been awarded the status of the Centres of Advanced Studies. These Centres of Advanced Studies have carved a niche for themselves as centres of excellence in teaching and research in their respective areas.

Delhi University(DU) B.Com / B.Com (Hons.) Admissions Forms 2017 are expected to be available from the first week of June, 2017. DU shall be inviting B.Com 2017 applications for admissions to various courses offered in Faculty of Commerce. The DU B.Com / B.Com (Hons.) application form 2017 shall be available both online and offline. The online Application forms will be available online on Delhi University’s official website while the offline OMR forms will be available in various colleges under the University.

Delhi University Bcom Important Dates

Undergraduate Courses (Entrance Based):

Candidates can register for the UG courses from the second week of May till last week of May 2017. The DU Hall Ticket will be available from the first week of June 2017. DU Entrance Exam for UG courses will be held from the third week of June to the last week of June 2017. Candidates can check the DU Result in the last week of July 2017 through online mode.

Entrance Examination

a) The Admit Card for the entrance examination shall be available in your online registration account.

b) Admit Card’s download link shall be available after 31st May 2017 (closing date of online registration). Please visit the UG admission portal for news and updates related with the Admit Card and on the admission procedures.

c) Candidate shall take the print-out of the Admit Card. The print quality of the Admit Card should be good enough for verification.

d) Admit Card shall carry the information related with Centre, Reporting time etc.

e) Candidate shall carry the following documents to the Examination Centre:
i. Printed copy of the Admit Card.
ii. One identity card bearing candidate’s photograph, for verification.
This can be any one of the following documents:

  • Aadhar Card,
  • Driving License
  • PAN card
  • Voter’s identity card
  • Passport
  • College identity card

f) The duration of entrance examination shall be two hours. The question paper shall be of Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) type.

g) The answers have to be marked on Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheet.

h) A sample OMR sheet and associated instructions is also given in the portal.

Delhi University Bcom Important Dates:

Candidates have to pass their 10+2 level from a recognized board. The minimum aggregate marks as given below (category wise):

  • General Category: 60 % in four subjects (including mathematics)
  • OBC category: 54% in four subjects (including Mathematics)
  • PH category: 55% in four subjects (including Mathematics)
  • SC/ST category: Passing marks with Mathematics as one subject

Important Instructions :

Read the instructions given below carefully before filling the Online admission form for B.Com / B.Com (Hons.) courses in Delhi University.

  1. Candidates belonging to different categories including General/OBC/SC/ST/PwD are admitted to fill the online DU pre-admission form.
  2. Using a single Delhi University B.Com /B.Com (Hons.) Admission form, a candidate can apply for as many courses or programmes offered in the faculty of commerce by the University.
  3. The Online Application Form is common for each and every B.Com course listed in the form and is valid for all colleges except Stephen’s College and Jesus & Mary College.
  4. All candidates are requested to fill the Delhi University Online Application Form only after ensuring that the requisite courses/ programmes are available in the colleges offering Commerce programmes.
  5. It is important to note that any application forms that are incomplete or having insufficient information will be summarily rejected.

As already mentioned, DU B.Com / B.Com(Hons.) Admission Form 2017 is available offline too.
The Offline DU application form is expected to be available in as many as 18 centers during the first week of June 2017.

DU Application Form Fees:

1. Candidates belonging to General category need to remit an application fee of Rupees One Hundred only (Rs 100), either applying online or offline for B.Com / B.Com (Hons.) Admissions 2017 in Delhi University.

2. Candidates belonging to SC/ST Category, need to remit Rupees Fifty only (Rs. 50) for the same.

Important instructions for candidates for filling Delhi University Admission OMR forms: 

  1. The OMR Common Pre-admission form is applicable to all candidates including General /OBC SC/ST/PWD. This single OMR Pre-admission form is valid for all colleges (except St. Stephen’s and Jesus & Mary) and for various courses listed in the OMR.
  2. Incomplete admission forms will be rejected summarily.
  3. The candidate must also ensure the following in order to avoid rejection of the B.Com / B.Com (Hons.) Admission form :
    a) The form is not folded, crumpled or mutilated in any manner.
    b) No marks should be made anywhere except wherever required.
    c) The bubbles must be darkened properly.
    d) The black marks on the margin of the OMR Form are important. It is advised to use only Blue or Black Pen to fill the OMR form. One can select as many courses as he wants. There is no limit on number of courses to be selected.
  4. This Pre-admission Form (OMR) has two sides. After filling both sides, take the photocopy of the form on single page i.e. both sides. Submit the form to any of the designated center and get the photocopy as acknowledgement.
  5. No Photocopies of certificates / documents / photographs are to be attached with the DU Admission OMR form.
  6. It is not necessary to submit the OMR form at the centre from where it was purchased.
  7. No fee is required to be deposited while submitting the form.The candidates who wish to be considered for admission to various courses in different colleges of the University, for which there is no entrance exam, are required to register either online at http://www.du.ac.in/ or offline by completing the OMR forms available and to be submitted at the respective centres in Delhi listed above.The duly filled offline applications shall be submitted in these centres on or before the scheduled dates that will be announced soon.

Delhi University Syllabus

The PG entrance exam syllabus will be different according to the candidate applying course. It contains the detailed syllabus of their graduation degree in specified programme. The DU syllabus for the entrance test for UG courses is based on the academic syllabus of class 11th and 12th.  Candidates appearing for the UG Courses (entrance based) may check the official syllabus when the notification will be released by the university. Candidates must note that we will update the syllabus as soon as it will be released by the officials.

  • There will be no Registration or pre-admission form available at individual college level.
