CS Professional Exam Pattern – Dec 2020 exam
CS Professional Exam Pattern : Company Secretary had gained a lot of fame in the recent time and is becoming popular day by day amongst the students as one of the good career option. Many of the students they have been thinking to make a career in the CS field. After CA and CMA, CS is the next choice of career these days. Company Secretary is a professional who looks after the legal matters and disputes of the companies.
To pursue a CS a student who has completed their 12th or Graduation degree from any of the stream i.e Commerce, Arts or Science except Fine Arts can apply for the CS course. If you are applying for the course after 12th than you have to give a CS Foundation exam. After clearing the Foundation exam you get eligible for the CS Executive exam and after that for the CS Final exam.
Student Preparation of Dec 2020 CS Professional Exam Pattern
CS Professional Exam Pattern : If you are applying for the CS course after Graduation than you directly can give the CS Executive exam. A student also needs to under go with the Internship . The duration of the Internship differs on the basis of the stage of your CS course. If you have not cleared CS Executive and go for the internship its duration is of three years and on clearing the CS executive the duration of the internship is of two years and after CS Final course it is of one year. Where as you also need to do the other necessary trainings as prescribed by the ICSI institute. With CS if you also pursue the Law degree i.e LLB than you will have the good career opportunities and most of the companies they ask for the students to have the Law degree also along with the CS qualification.
1.Professional Programme
For those students who are pursuing the course through Foundation Programme i.e. after passing Foundation Programme level, this would be the third level course relating to the CS (Company Secretaries – Professional Accounting) Course.
For those students who are taking up the course after their Graduation this is the second level course.
2. Course Duration
The minimum course duration as per the regulations of the institution is

The course duration is the minimum time that a student has to spend on taking up the course at this level. It is the period starting from, the time the student gets registered, to the time the student completes the course.
4. Examinations – When?
The main/final examinations for the course at this level are conducted twice every year generally on specified dates which do not change except under extraordinary circumstances.
5. Dec Examination
First Week of Dec [2nd to 7th – 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm]
6. December Examination
Last Week of December [26th to 2nd January – 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm]
Student Preparation of Dec 2020 CS Professional Exam Pattern
CS Professional Exam Pattern : The last date for receipt of online examination enrollment application and payment of examination fees for appearing in CS Exams Dec, 2018 without late fee is 25th March , 2020. However, students appearing for CS Foundation/ CS Executive/ CS Professional Dec 2020 Exams may also submit exam form online with late fee of ₹250 on or before the last date i.e. 10th April, 2020up to 12:00 midnight.

CS Professional Exam Pattern : A Company Secretary can act as the chief legal advisory to the Board of Directors in a company and performs secretarial audits for public-listed companies. CS is supposed to be an expert in matters of corporate governance and deals with regulatory compliance related issues in any organisation.

EXAM:
Company Secretary exam has 3 levels of exams including 8- months Foundation Programme, Executive Programme and Professional Programme respectively. Minimum CS Program duration is 2.5 years for graduates and 3.5 years for those with 10+2.
EXAM DATES:
All 3 levels of exams are conducted twice a year in the months of June and December.
THE DEAL:
The student is systematically acquainted with the fundamentals of accounting and business practices in the Foundation Level which has 4 papers, Executive Programme is divided into 2 modules including a total of 7 papers and is focused on company laws, tax laws and company accounting and auditing practices. The Professional Programme is divided into 4 modules including a total of 8 papers. This Level focuses on company secretarial practice, corporate governance, restructuring and strategic management among other advanced topics. Each exam at each of the levels is of 4 hour-duration with a 1-hour break in between.
ELIGIBILITY:
Students with 10+2 can start with Foundation Programme and those who have completed either Foundation level or are graduates can opt for Executive Programme but to pursue Professional Programme it is mandatory to first successfully complete Executive Programme.
CS Professional Exam Fee
The Examination Fee for Professional Programme is Rs. 1200/- per Module. The Institute allows facility to students to appear in examination in English as well as in Hindi. (Except Business Communication subject of Foundation Program).
- Late Fee for receipt of Examination Application – Rs.250
- Change of Examination Center/Module/Medium – Rs.250
Note: Surcharge for appearing in Examinations from Overseas Centre (Dubai) (over and above normal Examination Fee) US$ 100 (or equivalent amount in Indian Rupees)

CS Professional Passing Marks:
A candidate is declared to have passed the CS Professional examination, if he/she secures at one sitting a minimum of 40% marks in each paper and 50% marks in the aggregate of all subjects.
CS Professional Registration Cut-Off Dates:
- 28th February for appearing in both modules in December Exams in the same year.
- 31st May for appearing in single module in December Examination in the same year
- 31st August for appearing in both modules in June Exam in the next year
- 30th November for appearing in single module in June Examination in the next year.
Student Preparation of Dec 2020 CS Professional Exam Pattern
CS Professional Exam Pattern : students applying for admission / registration in Foundation / Executive / Professional Programme may note the followings :
A. OFFLINE REGISTRATION PROCESS FOR CS PROFESSIONAL PROGRAMME :
1. The sale of Registration Application Form (which is forming part of the Prospectus) will stand discontinued effective from Dec 2017 Exam . The Prospectus will be redesigned and will be continued to be sold to the prospective students and general public. The revised rate of the prospectus will be Rs.200/- which will not contain the Registration Application Form.
2. The Regional Councils & Chapters will not accept the Registration Applications in physical form effective from Dec 2017 Exam . It is further clarified that the downloaded copies of Registration Forms are also not to be accepted.
3. In case of all Registrations, the Study Materials would be sent by Main Stores(Noida) directly to students immediately on approval of the registration application by the Directorate of Student Services.
4. A “Step by Step Procedure for Online Registration” has been designed and the same is given at the end of this announcement. The same may be used by students as ready reference in future.
5. Students can make payment of applicable fees through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net banking or Bank Challan System ( through Canara Bank Branches).
6. Students are advised not to submit hard copies of supporting documents. Instead, they are required to upload scanned copies of documents in support of their qualification through online mode failing which the registration applications will not be processed.
B. ONLINE REGISTRATION PROCESS FOR CS PROFESSIONAL PROGRAMME :
1. Login to Online Services at www.icsi.edu
2. Click Student and then select My Account
3. Click Professional Registration under “Payment Request” option
4. Upload pass mark sheet of both modules of Executive Programme by clicking on choose file.
5. Make Payment of Rs 12,000/- through Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking.
6. For all successful payments an acknowledgement receipt is generated. in case receipt could not be generated due to any reason ,follow the procedure as given below :
- Click Student-> select My Account
- Click payment request->Generate payment Receipt Write Request id and Transaction id and click on check status.
- If payment is successful then the Receipt would be generated (otherwise the payment is not successful).
7. You are Successfully admitted in Professional Programme
8. In case of unsuccessful payment please resubmit your Professional Registration Form
9. After submission of fees download your Professional Registration Letter & E Identity Card under “other” option

Students can download their e-Identity card and registration letter from Institute’s website www.icsi.edu after approval of their application by the Institute by following the given below simple procedure:
1. Click on online services log at www.icsi.edu
2. Log in to your account .Enter your “Username” & “Password”
3. Click on “student” option
4 Open “my account”
5 Go to “others” option at student’s account
6 Students can download registration letter / e-Identity card at others option at their account
After downloading the Identity card, students are compulsorily required to get it attested by any of the following authorities with his/her seal carrying name, professional membership No., designation and complete official address
