Scholarship Overview: AICPA and RH/Accountemps offer the AICPA/Accountemps Student Scholarship Award to provide financial assistance to outstanding accounting students who demonstrate potential to become leaders in the CPA profession.
Award Amount: Recipients receive $10,000 for one year. Payments are sent directly to the school for credit to the account of the student. This scholarship is a non-renewable award.
Number of Recipients: Four students per academic year
Application Process: The 2017-18 AICPA/Accountemps Student Scholarship Award application will be available in January 2017. The application window will close on April 1, 2017.

CPA John L Carey Scholarship Award By AICPA : The AICPA Minority Scholarship awards outstanding minority students to encourage their selection of accounting as a major and their ultimate entry into the profession. For over four decades, this program has provided over $14.6 million in scholarships to approximately 8,000 accounting scholars. Funding is provided by the AICPA Foundation, with contributions from the following organizations:
- Accounting Education Foundation of Texas Society of CPAs
- New Jersey Society of CPAs
- Virgin Islands Society of CPAs
- Robert Half International
2016-17 Minority Scholarship Recipients
For the 2016-17 academic year, 94 accounting students were awarded a total of $451,000. These outstanding students demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, leadership and commitment to pursuing the CPA.
Scholarship Amount/Payments
Recipients receive individual awards of up to $5,000 per academic year. Scholarship aid may be used only for the payment of expenses that directly relate to obtaining an accounting education. Scholarship payments are sent directly to the student’s financial aid office on behalf of the student at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters.
