ICWAI Important Notification regarding Inter Examination

  1. Application Forms for Intermediate and Final Examination has to be filled up through online only and fees will be accepted through online mode only (including Payfee Module of IDBI Bank). No Offline form and DD payment will be accepted for domestic candidate.
  2. STUDENTS OPTING FOR OVERSEAS CENTRES HAVE TO APPLY OFFLINE AND SEND DD ALONGWITH THE FORM.
  3.  (a) Students can login to the website www.icmai.in and apply online through payment gateway by using Credit/Debit card or Net banking. (b) Students can also pay their requisite fee through pay-fee module of IDBI Bank.
  4. Last date for receipt of Examination Application Forms is 10th October, 2017.
  5. The provisions of direct tax laws and indirect tax laws, as amended by the Finance Act, 2016, including notifications and circulars issued up to 31st May, 2017, are applicable for December, 2017 term of examination for the Subjects Direct Taxation, Indirect Taxation(Intermediate) and Tax Management & Practice(Final) under Syllabus 2012 and Direct Taxation, Indirect Taxation (Intermediate) , Direct Tax laws and International Taxation and Indirect Tax laws & Practice (Final) under Syllabus 2016. The relevant assessment year is 2017-18. GST of 20 marks included in Paper 18- Indirect Tax laws & Practice (Final), under syllabus 2016 only.
  6. The Companies (Cost Records & Audit) Rules 2014 as amended till 14 July 2016 are applicable for Paper 10 – Cost & Management Accountancy (Intermediate) and Paper 19 – Cost and Management Audit (Final) under syllabus 2012 and Paper 12- Company Accounts & Audit(Intermediate), Paper 19 – Cost & Management Audit(Final ) under Syllabus 2016 for December 2017 term of examination.
  7. The provisions of the Companies Act 2013 are applicable for Paper 6 – Law, Ethics and Governance (Intermediate) and Paper 13 – Corporate Laws and Compliance (Final) under syllabus 2012 and Paper 6- Laws and Ethics (Inter) and Paper 13- Corporate Laws and Compliance (Final) under Syllabus 2016 to the extent notified by the Government up to 31st May 2017 for December 2017 term of examination.
  8. Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority Act,2013 is being included in Paper 6- Laws and Ethics(Intermediate) and Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code 2016 is being included in Paper 13- Corporate Laws and Compliance (Final) under Syllabus 2016 for December 2017 term of examination. Last Date for CMA Inter Registration dec 2017

For CMA Inter course at least 4 months prior to the month of Examination shall be eligible to appear in the Inter Examination

Requirements for CMA Inter Online Registration

Make sure you have the following details at hand before you start the registration process :-

  • Your contact details including Address, Mobile No, and email id
  • Attachment details :
    • i. Coloured Scanned copy of Passport size Photo in (JPG OR JPEG format)
    • ii. Age proof Certificate in (PDF format) size not exceeding 600 KB.
    • iii. Scan copy of Signature in (JPG OR JPEG format)
    • iv. Educational Qualification Certificates in (PDF format) size not exceeding 600 KB.

Note :

  • Once you successfully upload all the above scanned documents & make payment online,you will receive a welcome message.
  • Identification/ Registration Number will be generated only after completion of document verification and authentication from the Directorate of studies.
  • Study Material will be dispatched after generation of Identification/ Registration Number.
  • Applicants are advised to ensure proper compliance and documentation. In case of inadequate documentation your application will not be processed further.
  • Incomplete applications will be available in the system for further completion for a period of 30 days from the date of original application. During this period, an applicant may complete the remaining procedures. The date of payment shall be considered to be the date of admission/registration/enrolment. Beyond 30 days, no previous information will be available in the system and an applicant shall have to proceed for making fresh application.
    Moreover, life of an incomplete application would be a maximum of 30 days(T+30) and after period of 30 days, the application will be physically deleted from the database.

Certificates to be furnished for the course requires the student to apply in the prescribed form [Application for Registering as a student for Foundation] enclosing the details relating to the educational qualifications and age as well as the prescribed fee.
The application may be sent to the regional council/office directly or handed over to the nearest branch/chapter of the institute.

Those students who are registering for the course taking up the oral coaching mode may hand over the applications to the oral coaching center where they are getting admitted.

Certificates to be Furnished

Original Certificates need not be furnished along with the CMA registration process application. Photocopies of the following certificates duly attested should be sent along with the application for CMA registration process:
Proof of Minimum Age

10th standard pass certificate wherein the date of birth is mentioned. If date of birth is not mentioned therein, any other certificate in support of the date of birth.
Proof of Minimum Educational Qualifications

Marks sheet of (10 + 2)/Inter/equivalent as a proof of minimum educational qualification.
Students registering Provisionally

A student registering provisionally for the course need to submit only the proof of having made an application for the 10 + 2 examination (hall ticket) or any other similar proof to substantiate his status as a 10 + 2 student writing his/her final exam.

Where to submit the CMA registration process application?

You can submit the CMA Registration process Application, If you are intending to register for
Postal Coaching conducted by the institute

At the Regional office relevant to the area which you give as the address for communication (generally your place of residence)
Oral Coaching imparted by the centers authorised by the institute

At the coaching center itself.
Even if a student submits his/her application for registration at an office/chapter of the institute near his town/city/village (if they accept it as a service for students), it would ultimately be sent to the relevant regional office/council where the data relating to the student is maintained.

Registration Fee – How much, How/Where to pay, Installments
By registration fee we mean the total fee payable to the institute includes fee for registration as well as for imparting coaching (generally POSTAL Coaching) to be paid at the time of registration, by whatever name it may be called and into how many ever parts it may be divided into.
Postal Coaching: Rs. 3,500 (including study material)
Oral Coaching: Rs. 3,500 (including study material)
The Oral coaching fee is decided by the coaching center. The coaching center retains a part of the fee and only a part of it is sent to the institue as per the understanding it has with the institute. The fee charged by the orgal coaching center includes the registration fee as well as the oral coaching fee for the course.

The fee may vary from one coaching center to another.

Installment Facility

There is no provision for payment of the CMA registration process fee for the Foundation course by installment
