Students can start the course after 10+2 by giving CPT i.e Common Proficiency Test Exam which is the entry level for Chartered accountancy course.
ICAI had announced a scheme for graduates to get direct entry in the IPCC level . The scheme became effective from 1st august 2012.
For commerce graduates who have secured aggregate of 55% or more of marks in their graduation can get a direct entry in the IPCC level . They are exempted from appearing for CPT exams.
Commerce graduates or post graduates must have studied any 3 subjects out of the following their graduation to be eligible for direct entry in IPCC level.
For non-commerce graduates who have secured aggregate of 60% or more of marks in their graduation level can get a direct entry in IPCC level
Candidates who meet the above criteria can directly join articleship training.
Students who are pursuing final year graduation can also get provisional registration for IPCC provided they produce sufficient proof of marks as required within 6 months of the Graduation exam. Also they can appear for IPCC exam only after clearing their final year graduation.
If they fail to do so the provisional registration shall be cancelled and the fees paid for registration or tuition shall not be refunded.
