Sub: Implementation of Revised Scheme of Education and Training for CA Course w.e.f. 1st July, 2017, 2018. CA CPT Syllabus, CA foundation Syllabus: All concerned are hereby informed that the Revised Scheme of Education and Training for CA course will come into effect from 1st July, 2017, 2018. Students who are eligible to register in the CPT/IIPCC/Final under the existing scheme, may register on or before 30th June, 2017, 2018. With effect from 1st July, 2017, 2018, the registration in the CPT/IIPCC/Final under the existing scheme will discontinue. The Revised Scheme was made available shortly after this announcement at www.icai.org |

Minimum Passing Marks For CPT Syllabus:
CA CPT Syllabus: A candidate is required to secure a minimum of 30 per cent marks in each Section and a minimum of 50 per cent marks in aggregate in all the four Sections to pass the Common Proficiency Test.
In other words, it is clarified that if a candidate secures a minimum of 50 per cent marks in the aggregate but fails to secure the minimum marks required in any one or more of the sections A, B, C or D (as mentioned above), his result will be FAIL. Similarly, if a candidate secures a minimum of 30per cent marks in each section but fails to secure 50 per cent marks in the aggregate of all sections,his result will be FAIL.

CPT Syllabus: The weightage of CA CPT Maths is 50 marks, which is 25% of the overall 200 marks in the CPT exam. Weightage of
Accounting is 60 marks, 30% of the overall marks. Weightage of Economics is 50 marks, 25% of the overall CPT marks, whereas weightage of CPT Law is 40 marks, 20% of the overall CPT exam marks.

Q 4. Will the CA CPT exam be conducted in may 2018?
CPT Syllabus: No. Common Proficiency Test is entrance level test. The CA CPT exam is not conducted in May 2018. The CPT exam is conducted in June and December months, whereas the next two levels of CA course exam – CA IPCC and CA Final are conducted in the November and May months.
