CA Foundation | CA CPT Maths free Study Material Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is an entry level test for the CA course. It is a test of four subjects— Fundamentals of Accounting, Mercantile Laws, General Economics and Quantitative Aptitude. This test is of 200 marks. This test is divided into two sessions of two hours each with a break in between. CPT is an objective type test with negative marking.
Clearing the Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is the first step to becoming a Chartered Accountant. CPT is held twice a year in June and December by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and takes place in 2 sessions of 100 marks each on a single exam date. To be considered has having cleared CPT it’s necessary for the candidate to score minimum 30% in each individual section and 50% aggregate overall in spite of negative marking.
