BCOM Fourth Semester Subjects – Complete Details
BCOM fourth semester subjects have six syllabus with detail syllabus information. B.com fourth semester have five common subject those are Corporate Accounting, Business Statistics, Business Regulatory Framework, Corporate Law and Marketing management. Three optional subjects are their. But student can select any one subject. BCOM fourth semester subject totally eighteen hours classroom teaching period.
A) Corporate Accounting ( Three hours classes ) :
Unit- I Internal Reconstruction.
Unit- II Liquidation of a company and Financial reporting for financial institutions.
Unit- III Final Accounts of Banking Companies.
Unit- IV Accounts of Holding Companies.
Important : The Examiner will set at least THREE numerical and THREE theoretical questions in the question paper.

B) Business Statistics ( Three hours classes ) :
Unit – I Index Numbers.
Unit- II Analysis of Time Series.
Unit- III Theory of Probability.
Unit- IV Probability Distribution.
Important : The Examiner will set at least THREE numerical and THREE theoretical questions in the question paper.

C) Business Regulatory Framework ( Three hours classes) :
Unit- I Indian Partnership Act .
Unit- II Negotiable Instruments Act.
Unit- III Sales of Goods Act.
Unit- IV RTI Act.
Important : The examiner will set two questions from each unit out of which the candidate shall attempt four questions selecting one question from each unit.

D) Corporate low ( Three hours ) :
Unit- I Depository System .
Unit- II Share capital and Shareholders and Members.
Unit- III Meeting of Company and Directors.
Unit- IV Winding Up.
Important : The examiner will set two questions from each unit out of which the candidate shall attempt four questions selecting one question from each unit.

E) Marketing Management (Three hours classes) :
Unit- I Introduction about Marketing management and basis of market segmentation.
Unit- II Consumer Behaviour, Product Planning and Development and Product Life cycle.
Unit- III Branding and Trademark and Pricing.
Unit- IV Advertising and Sales Promotion.
Important : The examiner will set two questions from each unit out of which the candidate shall attempt four questions selecting one question from each unit. All the questions shall carry 16 marks each.

F) Optional Subjects ( student can select any one following this subjects)( Three hours classes) :
- Business ethics: Thinking conceptually about Politics, Domain of Politics and ethics: Democracy and Welfare State, Market and Globalisation. Approaches to Moral Reasoning, Politics and Ethics in Business: Corporate Code of Ethics. a) Environment b) Accountability c) Responsibility d) Leadership e) Diversity Corporate Social Responsibility. Cases of corruption, corporate Scandals, Whistle Blowing, Insider Trading, Discrimination, Advertising, Consumer Rights etc.
- c: introduction about of Bank, Regional Rural Banks, Cooperative Banking in India, and Determination and Regulation of Interest Rates in India. Negotiable Instruments, Rights and Liabilities of parties for Negotiable instruments, Capacity of parties and Endorsements.
- Basics of Retailing: Introduction,Types of Retailing,Management of Retailing Operations,Retail planning.
Important : The examiner will set two questions from each unit out of which the candidate shall attempt four questions selecting one question from each unit. All the questions shall carry 16 marks each.
