Banaras Hindu University Mcom List of Colleges : The Banaras Hindu University shall conduct Postgraduate Entrance Tests, hereinafter called „PET‟, during 16th to 30th May, 2017 [Refer to Section 21 of the Test Schedule] for admission to various Postgraduate Courses as given hereunder for the Session 2017-2018. Admissions will be made according to merit in the PET, subject to fulfillment of eligibility requirements mentioned below and availability of seats in the particular Course for which the candidate has applied for and appeared in the Entrance Test.

These Courses have been divided into “General Courses”, “Professional Courses”, “Special Courses” and “Vocational Courses”. All the Courses are conducted in the respective Faculties. In addition, some of the Courses are also conducted in Mahila Mahavidyalaya, BHU (MMV), Rajiv Gandhi South Campus, Barkachha, (RGSC) Mirzapur and the Colleges admitted to the Privileges of the University in the city namely, Arya Mahila Post Graduate College, Chetganj (AMPGC); Vasant Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Kamachha (VKM); Vasanta College for Women, Rajghat (VCW) and DAV Post Graduate College, Ausanganj (DAVPGC). The total number of seats in various Courses are indicated in brackets where „M‟ stands for Male only, „F‟ for Female only, and „M&F‟ indicates seats for Male and Female both

FACULTY OF COMMERCE – M.Com.:

Duration: 4 Semesters (2 Years)

Eligibility : B.Com (Hons.)/ B.Com./B.Com.(Hons.)-FMM under at least (10+2+3) Pattern Securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate including all subjects studies at B.Com. level except those subjects where only pass marks are required & which do not contribute to the total in the Final (degree) mark-sheet.

Banaras Hindu University has begun BHU PET 2017 counselling from July 4, 2017, as per the schedule announced for candidates who have qualified the postgraduate entrance exam. The BHU PET Counselling 2017 is being conducted up to July 20, 2017. The counselling of BHU PET 2017 is being held in online as well as offline mode. The qualified candidates as per merit list of BHU PET 2017 are participating in counselling process in online for online preference entry and offline for seat allotment and final admission. Instructions for BHU PET Counselling 2017

1. The counselling of BHU PET 2017 is being conducted in order of merit scores of qualified candidates
2. BHU is issuing call letters to qualified candidates in online mode for attending counselling
3. The call letters for BHU PET counselling 2017 will be issued in online mode only and no postal letters will be sent to any candidate
4. Moreover, candidates who have qualified for BHU PET 2017 will be informed through SMS and E-mail on registered mobile number and e-mail address respectively
5. Candidates can login their BHU PET 2017 registered account to download their call letters of BHU PET counselling 2017
6. The university will be issuing call letters at least four times the number of seats in each faculty
7. The candidates need to report to the concerned Faculty Head for counselling of BHU PET 2017
8. Also, candidates are required to carry documents in original and photocopies for verification at the counselling venue of BHU PET 2017

Step 1: Online Preference Entry – Banaras Hindu University will be issuing call letters to candidates who have qualified for BHU PET 2017. Candidates need to log in with registration number/roll number and password to participate in BHU PET counselling 2017. The first step of BHU PET counselling procedure 2017 is as specified below –

• Subject – M.A./M.Sc./M. Com
• Preference of Location – choice from affiliated colleges/RGSC college/faculty or department at main campus
• Seat Allotment Type – candidates can select type of seat i.e. Regular Fee seat or Paid Seat*

*Once the regular seats are full only paid seats option will be available

Step 2: At Counselling Venue – After completion of primary step of BHU PET 2017 Counselling i.e. Preference Entry in online mode,  the candidates need to attend counselling of BHU PET 2017 at the respective faculty for their choice of programme. The university will be publishing counselling schedule as per rank and category for conducting BHU PET counselling 2017. The candidates called for counselling of BHU PET 2017 must be physically present at the venue for seat allotment and document verification. The admissions to postgraduate programme will be completely based on BHU PET merit list 2017.  Each Head of the Faculty/HOD will be marking attendance sheets at the counselling venue and candidates also need to sign on it to mark their presence.

In case, candidates want to change their choice of location/programme and seat, they can change it here before submitting the forms.

Verification of Documents – Once, candidates have finalised the seats allotment choice, they need to put their signature on the admission form and submit it along with required documents in original at the verification officer’s desk.

Documents required for BHU PET Counselling 2017

• BHU PET Admit Card
• Mark sheets of 10^th, 10+2 and Bachelor Degree qualifying examination
• Migration Certificate for candidates who have completed Bachelor from university other than BHU
• Reserved category certificate i.e. SC/ST/OBC for claiming reserved quota seats
• High School and Intermediate Certificate or equivalent
• Transfer Certificate
• Sport Category certificate for claiming Sports Quota Seats
• Certificate issued by BHU Central Registry mentioning if Son/Daughter of BHU Employee – In service/Retired/Reemployed/Deceased employee of BHU

Provisional Admission Letter:

The candidates who will be allotted seat as per their choice will be issued an admission letter. The admission letter can be obtained from Admission In charge of the venue by 10:00 am, next day. The details furnished on the admission letter of BHU PET 2017 is as mentioned below –

• Date of counselling
• Course of admission
• Admission fee (in case of admission to paid seat it mentions Regular Fee + Paid Seat Fee)
• Mode of admission fee payment
• Last date of remitting the admission fee

Remit admission fee of BHU PET 2017:

Candidates need to remit the admission fee for BHU PET 2017 as mentioned below –

Online mode – By using Debit Card/Credit Card through online payment gateway on the website

Offline mode – In cash at Fee counters of the Counselling venue

Step 3: Day after counselling – Candidates who have submitted admission fee in offline mode are required to deposit proof of fee payment to the admission officer at counselling venue

• Candidates who have remitted admissions fee in online mode need not submit any proof of fee payment as the payment status will be updated online only
• Candidates who could not remit the admission fee will not be admitted and the seat allotted to him or her will be cancelled
• Moreover, candidates too can cancel their admission to a programme until next round of BHU PET 2017 counselling for admission to their choice of programme
• A final seat allotment list will be prepared to cross-check vacant seats of each programme at the Affiliated Colleges/Main campus of the University
