Definition of "Capability maturity model -cmm"

The Capability Maturity Model for Software provides software organizations with guidance on how to gain control of their processes for developing and maintaining software and how to evolve toward a culture of software engineering and management excellence. This model has total five levels of maturity: Level 1-The Initial Level, Level 2-The Repeatable Level, Level 3- The Defined Level, Level 4- The Managed Level, Level 5- The Optimizing Level.
