The book explains the reasons behind mumtaz’s death, her last few days and how her body was preserved. the motive behind this book is to remove the veil from all the activities that took place while mumtaz was dying and which have never been recorded in history. several historians ignored these activities by claiming that these were just rituals of the eastern world. it is almost improbable for the current generation to believe that almost 400 years ago dead bodies were preserved in india. this book tries to bring out those aspects of history which have not come out in the open due to various reasons. i am of the view that readers have the right to know the mystery behind mumtaz’s burial. was her burial a common thing or if emperor shah jahan had tried to hide it from the common people. so it is important to right book on this issue.
